The really odd thing about this acquisition is that it doesn't complete until the end of next year!! Don't think I've ever come across such a long gestation period!

Good spot. Where's the bl00dy hedge funds when you need them (to provide some arbitrage..). For me, HCM is only about 5% of my UK equity portfolio. If you've ever looked at my profile you'll see I post on a wide variety of stocks, all of which I hold, or have held.

Ok, so I tried to gloss over that one in your last post, as it's a bit of a sore point (or was at least) on this Board. Basically, I didn't think Vig was adding a lot of value, but I went in like a bit of a bull in china shop and said some things I now regret. Others did value his input and (on reflection, rightfully) gave me some stick. I saw the error of my ways, and began behaving myself, and in fact Vig carried on posting for a few weeks afterwards. but then fell silent. I don't believe in reality that it was me that caused him to stop (as I said , he didn't stop posting at that time), but if I caused him any distress, I am sorry, and if he's reading this, he can return to this Board without any fear of derogatory posts from me. Anyway, I think I've mended the fences on this Board, and actually get on well with these guys now (I think.....).

Well that's my hope as well saj, but there's still that residual fear about EU contracts for a UK Company. Frankly I think this is misplaced as the contracts are with the countries themselves (simply using EU grants) rather than dealing with the EU.

PV - I've have my doubts about every stock I've ever bought, and held. Constantly questioning my own reasoning for holding a stock is sensible, and ensures that I size all positions appropriately relative to the risk. very few posters have posted as regularly, or as positively about this stock than me in the past 6 months, and I think you'll find I was one of the first to espouse buying post BREXIT and the fall into the 160s. I've even said this is was the most attractive FTSE stock IMO. Does that mean I am 100% sure with total conviction? No, that would be foolish, and arrogant on any risky investment IMV (and I would include all shares in the 'risky' category). That's my view anyway. Not my intention to cast aspersions on your good self BTW, but thought it worth clarifying my position after your last post.

My advice SS - Ignore broker price targets. They're either hideously conflicted (by being, or aiming to be an advisor to the Company), or no better than the rest of us in terms of predicting stock price moves. In fact, they're usually both!!
