Haha - not quite. They'll be left with a £12mn pa high margin (soon) business with growing at 20%+ with no debt, and a market cap of £18m. Don't disagree with you regarding management quality, but future looks brighter than it has for some time. Just need to JH to sling his hook, and the turnaround will be complete.

Core business still sound, acquisitions policy bitten them, but hopefully they will have learned from this, and only a temporary effect. Growth numbers for H1 already included loss of contracts, so nothing wring with top-line. Rare opportunity to buy quality company in ultra high growth environment at modest valuation. Buy. End of.

I think the point is that they would only have done this at very poor rates for the annuity holders, so would have been profitable for LGEN, although fraught with 'miss-selling' type risk after the fact. It was this potential bad publicity which ultimately cased a govt U-turn! Overall, probably a positive as you say Din.

Right, the crappy business is gone leaving a debt free software company generating annual sales around £12m this year, and I'm going to say £15m next. Conservative sales multiple of 2x next year = 30mn= share price of 23p. If PBS continues with current growth trajectory, then 30-35p might be more realistic. Anyway, stocks a strong buy from here - I'm back in at 13.4p.

In truth, I think you've got some rose tinted specs on there - for me, this is clearly more than just a little hiccough - contract cancellations, deferrals, and some other rather less defined issues. Valuation of the stock left little room for disappointment, as can be seen in the price today. I lowered my holding at 343 a few weeks back, but this is till a bit painful. That all being said, at 220p, the reaction is very much overdone, so I'll probably look to buy my shares back at this level!
