yep, stock went from £3 to nearly £30 in 3 years and quite simply go ahead of itself. I was fortunate enough to take a few profits around this level, but re-invested back under £20. I'm convinced that the stock is once again reasonably valued and attractive on a risk-adjusted basis ahead of a host of data due this year. is this a slam dunk ? No, there is still risks that the data isn't quite as positive as we think it will be, or Chinese geo-political risks come back into focus. To make real money on this stock, I think implementation will have to be good from here. the stock certainly isn't priced for perfection, but it is priced for pretty decent outcomes for the trials.

Company comes out with cracking RNS, and you want to post about a single share trade NMH? Excellent statement regarding results. Current eps forecast is around 25p.' Materially ahead' could mean anything, but let's say 30p, gives us a PE today of less than 6x, plus continued contract wins helps visibility going forwards. Yes, the legal claims are still there and represent real uncertainty, but you have to say this is in the price when you consider the underlying business, and the quality of the management.

Sure, short-term moves driven by panicky/less informed investors reacting to rating changes. I'm talking about their ability to accurately predict longer term trends in profits and share prices. This is what I invest for, and brokers show no discernible skills or abilities above the average investor. Follow them if you want, but I certainly won't be.

Dubious- Very poor fund managers follow the brokers. Most use their own skill or hire their own buy-side analysts. I really couldn't care two hoots about any broker recommendation changes.

I was fortunate enough to buy some at 50p, and I sold them back at 75p. I am also just above breakeven on my current holding as well. Let's just hope we actually see some momentum from new products in 2017!!

IG themselves point out that the FCA report does not seem to cover overseas-based firms selling into the UK and this clearly something they will discuss during the consultation. Surely the FCA will want a level playing field for all parties. However, assuming they cannot do anything to these foreign operators, what exactly stops IG from registering elsewhere and what exactly can the FCA do about it? The business is all done online so geographic allocation irrelevant - some EM country would love to host them and receive the tax income. Similar tale currently in banking - HSBC has aid that any passporting issues from BREXIT, and they will re-register through their French business. I suspect it might be even easier for IG.

....deal to sell VCS confirmed today. Proceeds leave the PBS business with no debt. Business now a fast growing software Company, on which a multiple of 3x sales should be justifiable. Assuming £12m full year sales should give a market cap of £36m, vs current mkt cap of £17m. So, anyone want to give me a good reason why this stock shouldn't move to 25p quite quickly?

Well I think you'll find that Mr Market is an utter bell-end then....;-)) 6x earnings before new contract, 6% yield. Only risks are: 1. Pension Scheme deficit - recent rise in bond yields helped that 2. HMRC contract been priced as a loss leader and hence very low margin I think the risks are in the price now though, don't you?

Hi Mate, yes, I was a holder for 5 years here, and was fortunate enough to sell out above £9 earlier this year. Recent FCA ruling has given me the opportunity to reinvest (much like AHT when it fell from £12 to £8). Clearly substantial risks, but at the end of the day, gamblers will gamble, and 25x or 50x leverage still allows you far more flexibility than investing with no leverage in the underling physicals. IG is far better positioned than competitors here which means they may end up with even more mkt share than before. Of course there are risks and uncertainty - find me a cheap stock in history where that wasn't the case!!
