RE: Greenland Pivots to North America1 Nov 2024 16:01
Hi Ashton
I also was pulled in by the extraordinary Dundas prospect (though my average is now 0.38p as I sold out when Rod did...
As I have mentioned before, I visited both the Disko and Dundas sites on a Hurtigruten cruise last Autumn.
We landed at Dundas (Uummannaq) and Pituflik. The good news is that there is a US owned Thule Air Base there but everything bulky would have to go by ship.
Its easy for people to ask why Dundas has never been mined but the population of Pituflik is 423...the total population of Greenland is 57,000 and several former mines and mine settlements have been abandoned. We visited two which were recently vacated ghost towns; one abandoned and one mothballed.
And if you look at this aerial of the region you can see why, at the very least 80M would need a major partner with the sort of logistical capability needed in Alaska and similar provinces.

Which is why the pursuit of hydrogen/helium seems rational to generate funds until Dundas and/or Disko become a practical proposition.
In closing I was captivated by the thought that JAY could simply use JCBs to dig up ore at Dundas, but permafrost, while slowly thawing, remains a major practical constriction...
Ah well my 10 million shares would have cost me £1.45 million when I originally bought them so, as with UFO I live in hope...
