Putting the options exercise price to one side and I do agree with Jerry and others that there is no risk involved with the options so are therefore not aligned with ourselves,but I do think there could be a genuine issue whereby the PDMR’s at GGP may have been locked out of purchasing shares for an extended period of time. The NCM/NEM merger could have made the problem even worse. It’s not even like he can say “look I can’t buy any shares because of X,Y or Z going on in the background.”

Put it this way, if even 10% of the scenarios that get discussed on here were anywhere close then there’s no way they could be trading in GGP shares.

One thing I’ll give him his due for.I don’t think you can fault Shaun for releasing todays RNS just before the Town Hall. I can’t see any reason why this couldn’t have waited.You certainly can’t say he’s shying away from being scrutinised about it in person.

Unless there’s an amazing RNS tomorrow or Thursday to deflect attention away from it, LOL.

To put into context the SP only hit the high 30s for a very brief time. It was only over 30p for about a month and part of that was over Christmas.

I can see both sides of the argument but In fairness to the Greatland team they probably cannot buy any shares on the open market at the moment and by the time they can (when all near term news is released) the price may have risen to way beyond the levels we are at now, and hopefully way beyond 11p. So they would have missed out on the opportunity to buy at this level and maybe even 11p which in effect means they are penalised for the knowledge they have and their efforts.

At the end of the day they do still have to buy these shares.

Shame he wasn’t coming to London this week he could have met up with the gang going to the Town Hall.

As per Callum Baxter’s thoughts,there are quite a few ways this could play out and there are many theories which are hard to discount because they are at least vaguely plausible,personally I haven’t got a clue which one I favour anymore. But at least we have backed our horse each way so that whatever transpires there’s very good odds we’ll make good money.

We are still to hear from the Australian Foreign Investment Review Board on the Newcrest/Newmont deal. I’ve always felt that the future of Telfer, Havieron and to some degree GGP is afforded protection from this angle. I’d find it hard to imagine the review board would not be interested in Newmont’s intentions regarding Telfer and Havieron and whilst it may not be made public surely they’d look for assurances. The timing of our possible reorganisation and ASX listing may or may not just be coincidental

Just a possibility, but maybe they are referring to the Australian financial year? i.e. late 24 equals June 2024 and year 25 starts from July 1st 2024.
