Hi HavieronKing, most versions of the Lassonde curve I have seen show the most rapid part of the second rise prior to actual mining commencing. So when you consider how close we potentially are to first ore and the fact with regards to construction a lot of “stuff” is already there with Telfer I would say watch this space.

Hi Dan, Sorry I didn’t explain myself very well.

I think the market size for SVE is only 15,000

I think it is 10 times that for GGP

There’s only 58 million shares in issue.

If GGP shareholders suddenly started en masse selling GGP and started buying Starvest I think the Starvest price would rapidly rise to a level whereby it would far exceed the potential benefit.

For example if someone had 4million GGP shares you could probably get a quote to sell that amount. So say they sold them and tried to use the proceeds of that sale to buy SVE I doubt they would be able to get a quote for that amount. They may be able to buy them piecemeal in 100,00 or 200,000 chunks but each time they did so the ask price would probably rise.

To put it in perspective if you managed to get your hands on 3 million SVE shares you would own just over 5% of Starvest.

The idea is good in principle but only for relatively small amounts.

Hi Dan, the problem is the liquidity of SVE. I don’t think it would take much to move the Starvest price upwards to a point where it might defeat the object.

What your saying makes sense for tens of thousands of shares but maybe not for millions.

The good thing is whether we find out sooner or later and whatever way it goes it makes sense that Telfer has to be kept as economical as possible and the only way to do that is to keep fast tracking Havieron. Not long now.

The way I see it is Newmont have just done the equivalent of buying a farm including all contents.

You know the script, the one where hidden under a tarpaulin in one of the old barns is a Ferrari Dino in as good a condition as when it rolled out of the factory. In the sale particulars it was just listed as old barn with miscellaneous items and given no value. You put In your offer and keep quiet about the prancing horse in the barn(or elephant in the room) but once the ink is dry on the contract how long would it be before you started bragging about it?

When I go climbing mountains with Maximus the border collie he goes charging on ahead.

I usually let him get so far in front and then tell him to go back down a bit and find some sheep lower down while I get a breather. When he can’t find any he comes back, gives me a sideways glance as he passes as if to say “what was that about” and then off he goes again.

Greatland Gold is in an early growth phase.There’s nothing stopping the brokers adjusting the targets upwards as we get closer to or exceed them.

I seem to remember we smashed through broker targets in the past.

Below is what I posted on the Starvest LSE BB page some time ago after Callum Baxter’s comments regarding the intrinsic value of the company that I posted in the other thread.I just think if I could have a good guess something was afoot surely the latest Starvest news won’t have come as a surprise to those who are more market aware than myself. e.g. anyone who may be potentially shorting millions of GGP shares. Just my thoughts. ATB

In May 2022 Callum Baxter made this comment in the half yearly report:

“The Board is currently considering opportunities more likely to better align the Company's stock price with what it regards as the intrinsic value of the Company's portfolio.”

I think what has been proposed has been in the pipeline for some time.

Hopefully soon ace will need a new catchphrase.

In the long run the rational thing is you’ll end up with more GGP shares than you had before. I’m into my seventh year of being invested in GGP and i’m very confident with my investment there.

Hi Zarro, I think the spread is as has been for a long time just down to a lack of liquidity. Anyway just submitted my vote in favour via ii. I do agree with you both though,even with the spread and the recent rise of both SVE and GGP the maths still looks makes SVE look a good buy.

A day trader considers them self successful if they buy a stock at 10p and sell it at 11p, buy back the the same stock next week at 13p and sell it at 14p, another week later buy it back again at 15p and sell it at 16p. Well done…..🤔 Myself I’d rather be sit and be comfortable than successful.
