Going forward what’s important to me is seeing Newmont and Greatland work collaboratively, that in itself will send a positive message, regardless of who eventually ends up owning/operating what percentage.I’m liking the phrase from Greatland “working together to deliver the full potential” and the talk from Newmont about emerging tier 1 operations. I feel Newmont have set the stage perfectly to update the market regarding Havieron/Telfer in a very positive light, on the basis that they now have had the opportunity to consider the operation along with the most up to date information.

Considering the last MRE was mainly for the purposes of navigating around the 5% issue I would like to think there is a large buffer built into that to allow for any possible differences between Newmont and Newcrest reporting criteria. Also there is obviously the latest drilling as well.

So not surprisingly Newmont have confirmed they’ll have their technical teams hitting the ground running looking at their newly acquired JVs and sizing them up and by happy coincidence this will be at exactly the same time GGP are working on a new updated MRE,add into the mix a rising gold price and out of the doldrums we go.

Morning Jerry, very happy with the SVE solution. I seem to recall you highlighting the benefits of Starvest a few times in the past. Fortunately I took notice. Thanks 😀 Not as many as Callum but a few extra GGP for me.

So yes the GGP and AAU shares will be transferred in specie and anything else will be liquidated to pay expenses and if anything left that will be distributed in cash. That’s my “at first glance” understanding, but please check as only skimmed through.

Only had time to read quickly but think we will get 1.33 GGP shares for each SVE shares plus whatever Ariana plus a little extra if anything left from sale of the rest of the portfolio. Nice 😀

What some may be getting at is the Greatland team’s expertise might lie in streamlining and cost reduction which could be seen as beneficial at Telfer.

All the plus, non of the fuss, Starvest,I have a very small investment there, which as most will know is basically Greatland Gold shares bundled together with a few other interests in resource companies. Nice and quiet there today and every day, no derampers, no rampers, the bid and ask price hasn’t moved at all, no sells in fact no volume whatsoever today, no posts on the BB. Only thing is you can drive a road train sideways through the spread and anyone wanting a decent amount would probably struggle.

Just sounds like they are being cautious to me, reading from todays RNS it seems to be stating Newcrest(Newmont) always wanted real time information regarding the lower aquifer before completing the Feasibility study. In the grand scheme of things it’s just another few drops in an evaporation pond.

Depressurisation works will continue and be expanded, which experience from the upper two aquifers has demonstrated is highly effective in improving the aquifer ground conditions prior to decline development. TBF Zoros did say if an offer came in January and I think thing’s including the SP will look a lot different then. We’ve all known volume has been low for sometime and today just shows it doesn’t take much to move the SP a good percentage north.

Hi Bamps, according to their website the Havieron contract is “Cost Reimbursable with KPI Based Margin” so yes you would assume that as is the norm one of the KPI’s would be time related.

So that was 8/10/23 so we must be very close now to hitting the 75% complete milestone of the main decline. Surely something to celebrate, still 2 months to go of this year and only 25% of the main decline left to complete.Most important thing is no major accidents or incidents. Obviously from a moral perspective this is excellent news but it also helps make the project attractive from an ESG investment point of view as Health and Safety fits well into the ESG package. It’s coming along very nicely.

Just thought, one good thing,at least once the takeover by Newmont is finalised there’ll be no more waiting up ‘til whatever time for Newcrest results and announcements. 😀 Until GGP list on the ASX that is 🥱

Ha ha SAs I’ve always lacked ambition.

In the podcast it reminded me what I had been thinking about Ernest Giles. Like a lot of others I first bought into Greatland Gold when Newmont were showing an interest there. What we weren’t at the time aware of,(or I wasn’t at least) but are now,is there has been a very long process involved in just be able to carry out exploration work in the area. I suppose in some ways it’s the equivalent of having land in central London but having no planning permission to build on it, in the case of Ernest Giles it doesn’t matter how much gold or whatever may be there if you can’t work the land. Perhaps the phrase from a few years ago “not at this time” makes more sense in hindsight. Anyway a bit like the planning permission analogy the work carried out by GGP to get access may be extremely valuable in itself. Now we just need to see if we’re going to build a shed on it or a 15 bedroom mansion.
