I thought it had been oversold. My normal reaction would have been to top up. However as HSBC are to charge me £10 a month from Jan 16, I will be selling all my stock with them and moving elsewhere. Just waiting for a decent price to offload. Todays rise will make a decision to do that with RR that bit nearer. Got to make a decision on the C shares too.

I tend to agree, I think it is time to think , I can get ten of these babies for a quid.

Until the interim results are out ( 4 Nov, ) we cannot be certain how well the recovery in M&S has gone. I think they are doing alright and I bought in recently on the that basis, with the knowledge that divi payments are reasonable.

The supermarket ( TSCO & MRW ) bashing took a halt yesterday. Let's see what today brings. My guess is that it will be a steady day here. Perhaps a small rise in the SP this morning, I am not expecting a fall.

Market is looking positive, so likely we will have a blue opening. GL All

Good recovery this afternoon, thought it was over sold. Might have even made a profit on the ones I bought ( too early) this morning.

I'm in today, at least we get a 1.5p divi...just need to hold for 3 weeks.

My bet is an agreed extension to the dead line.

Looking ripe for a top up. Need to look at other shares first as overall FT is quite a bit down.

Even bigger spread, but a lot cheaper than yesterday. I will leave it now and think about buying early next week.

Settling at circa £1.15...might consider buying if the spread was less.

The Board of Rexam notes the recent media speculation and confirms that it is in discussions with Ball Corporation ("Ball"), which may or may not lead to a formal offer being made for Rexam. The proposal values Rexam at 610 pence per each Rexam share based on a consideration of approximately two thirds in cash and one third in new Ball shares. Discussions on other matters are continuing and there can be no certainty any formal offer will be forthcoming, or as to the terms of any offer Glad I held.....might sell now though as £6 a share is tempting!
