Whilst this is conjecture, I believe the tax on the sale of crude oil will be nil.

My thinking is that if they do not tax exports, which they clearly don't, then they couldn't dream of taxing internal sales.

If they were to try to tax internal sales, then MARD would seek to gain an export licence of their own and guess what, there wouldn't be crude sold internally to the oil refinery when it gets going.

For this reason, the risk of a local tax or national sales tax internally will not stand.

Just my conclusion. I could be wrong, but I can't imagine it standing.

There is so much anger and noise. I find it difficult sometimes to clear the fog and not to look at thebglass half full or half empty, but to look at the momentum and the direction with stated facts, to make my decisions.

I am happy to hold 1% of MATD stock at this time. We will see if I am a fool or not, next week, with luck!

How does the company operate their news stream and shareholder updates? Are these being prepared internally and if so, by whom? Is it not time for a really good pr communications team to be used for helping to tell the story and present to institutions to build the good news and delivery of the company going forward? Assuming the board can deliver a profitable and rapidly expanding business from this day forth!

With many shareholders furious with the lack of progress this year and the recent raise at a distressed and very low price level, after having been ecouraged by updates that suggested a bright future of production from a held back well of 250 bpd with H2 being a potential well that is then being turned to a pressure well that is now being looked at for restimulation, with JV partner options with different entities - but nothing showing at this stage, the second new block being awarded - but nothing yet, there are many instances of changing direction, lack of a clear plan, lack of funds, hollow intimations and everything bogged down with blind hope and lack of delivery. What are you going to do about this to deliver the assured income streams, without wildcat wells and expensive risks, with a steady and reliable and responsible path forward to ensure a sustainable and profitable company? Does the board need to be strengthened and possibly changed to enable a maximisation of the business when the company seems to hold some very strong cards and yet can't seem to play a winning hand?

Absolutely. Which is why a shoehorn in for oil (yet to be struck - granted) from Block VII would be a good result.

Give away some of the margin in return for driving volume and strong income stream from XX and the be strong enough to develop VII ourselves.

IF, and that is a big IF(!), OBGC IS THE CHOSEN PARTNER FOR A JV.....

Then this would be a very good and strategic partner to have. All oil from our site would have priority for supply to the refinery.

China have stated they wish to import a lot more Mongolian oil meaning their oil would be exported and not supplied to the refinery.

That could neatly set up MATD to develop their own block VII, funded by revenues from the JV in Block XX, and supply that to the refinery too via the partner relationship with ONCG.

To add my thoughts to Stockmaidens assessment - it is a sound looking prospect. I have invested in this also and listened to the audio.updates on the ORCP website to get a better feel.

I sense that the raise that was done a couple of months ago will not.last long and another raise will probably be needed before any income is generated from these projects.

That said, something could drop suddenly and things could move at a pace. The first and obvious news is the issuing of the mining licence in Australia, due within the next 6 mo ths or sooner, with luck, and this could trigger activity on the sp. However the actual mining would take time to set up and get going and returns would be on the back of reaching the gold and having it to sell. That would take longer.

But why the dilly dallying about re H2, Gobi and Gazelle? Why specifically raise for these to be revisited? Why has H2 gone from a 30 bpd non commercial well to a warer injection well to create pressure and then back to a re-stimulation prospect?

Something doesn't add up here. Does MATD not trust the rest wells done before? Do they suspect half truthes being presented from the results?

Is there new technology that will fracture the load wall and send oil rushing to the surface?

Is this to do with a JV or sale need to prove greater viability of the Block?

I agree the dilution was larger than it should have been if the raise had been done before. But the cash raised isn't a lot. You can not expand the activities of MATD aggressively on the cash that was raised.

Therefore, the goal is only to prove reserves to use to negotiate quantum either for a sale, the ratio of ownership in a jv or how much of a funding limit would be extended to the company to develop the block itself.

I think it is more likely to be sale or jv as there wouldn't be a need for non disclosure for raising a loan based on the reserves of oil - if that were the case.

But you never know....! We will see.

What will be interesting is when and how the results will be communicated to the market. There isn't room for ambling along with this.

There is definitely something happening here at MATD IMO.

Due to the lacking nature of news feeds or updates, probably due to NDA's and sensitive developments, we are left with conjecture only.

I was gob smacked like many of us were to learn of the reversed plans with H2 and the need for a small raise to stimulate the wells of H2, Gobi and Gazelle with the sense that this is where the finishing line is for MATD in relation to Block XX in the eyes of the board. Why?

The more I ponder this "why" question, the more I conclude that a deal is firmly down the path, either for a sale, JV or a solid funding facility, subject to proving the size of the oil reserves under ground.

Why would one be satisfied with raising ths tiny amount of money, sufficient only to do this work, if this was not the case.

I have bought more shares on this hunch. But something is happening here and it will be very big and hugely transformational for MATD abd the sp. I am not trying to ramp this, but I am only trying to understand a sensible logic to the raise and decisions being communicated to shareholders.

Investor 33 - perhaps, as a far out thought, MB and MATD have slowed the pumping of oil so as to pay as little tax as possible and are applying for an export licence themselves thereby cutting out the Mongolian internal oil sale as a way of preventing the loss of tax.

Just another random thought plucked out of the air due to MB and MATD being so economical and opaque with solid facts and status of the company.

Shares have landed into my account from the retail issue.

Sp still around the offer price. Not too bad and steady.

I suspect that MB would always argue that as far as he is concerned, everything in any RNS was true at the time and that the unforseen nature of Mongolia and the players therein have caused all of these changes.....

TenBagTag - my opinions also change, but mostly due to the changed feeds being give in the RNS'.

H2 for eg, has gone from a low flow rate, un-economical strike, through to a water injecting well to increase pressure in Heron field and flow rates. To now being reworked. These changes result in me changing my understanding and belief in what the RNS' are telling us and how much I can trust their contents.

I believe in MATD. They hold some good cards with aces too. But can the board play their hand to win?

I do sympathise with Hamm and many others for feeling the same. That said, I believe in the company and I have just added a further 5 million shares.

The board and MB seem naive and inept with their limited news feed and changeable conflicting statements.

This gives the sense and fear that they can't grab hold of this very slippery eel and land the fish in Mongolia!

As stated before, the board is looking a bit foolish and needs to be strengthened and possibly changed a bit too. They should feel they are on notice and should feel a lot of pressure to deliver something solid and quickly, IMO!

The sp has got to absorb the body blows of the extra shares tomorrow, and then we should see a gentle climb, IMO.

Cautiously encouraged by stability around the current "discounted" raise level. I believe it is a discounted price and one only has to look at the market cap vs the assets. Ask yourself how much is a producing well worth? It must be coming up to the market cap of the while company. So nothing else has been valued at all...!!

The successful reworking of H2, Gobi and Gazelle are critical to the forward path of MATD. Just one of those pumping asap would be great.

It would be interesting to see if MB will order a third pump and equipment needed for a possible second successful well reworking or at least confirm he has one secured for possible purchase and quick delivery if it is needed.

Interesting times, but this small raise sits OK with me at this time and will hopefully ensure a viable and solidly sound company going forward.

The question is what will happen on Friday when the new shares are available and traded?

MB better come up with something pretty smartish. He should be feeling the heat and sense the need to do something smart and quickly with a solid RNS that is good for the company.
