Hopefully MATD won't be too affected by a big POP event happening in the markets.

A cool 650 billion wiped off today from AI stock. Musk doing his trillion $ launch of SpaceX. Too many cafés and restaurants. A big big crunch due.

But we should be ok with MATD in our sheltered and slightly isolated niche....

Holding the stock that I do, I am genuinely a little perplexed at the imminent deal that seems to be a bit further from execution than any of us had hoped.

Envoi advertising for partners now, clearly at the instruction of the board, just emboldens that sense of distance from any deal being done soon or there even being a deal that is close.

Sadly this updated Envoi prospective post suggests a less advanced or anywhere near to completion Farm Out partner agreement then I had hoped.

It's akin to seeing a second hand car that had sold being re-advertised.....

I can't see MBs overly optimistic dream of sinking a well or two this year at all. I am wondering if having someone in place for 2027 is even possible. I sincerely hope I'm wrong on this....

I wasn't quite sure on that.

My understanding is that they were interested in seismic due to the potential of the whole of Block XX being surveyed.

Whether thes are two seperate things, or one has led into the other either from MAatd to the potential partner or the potential partners actions offering an opportunity to MATD, was quite clear to me. But waiting for the results before deals are done is my take home on this.

I do hope so. I hope I am wrong.

But I don't know how long that will take if it now depends a lot on the seismic survey yet to be done.

Having digested yesterday's AGM and operational update, I am still bullish about MATD and our future here.

My concerns, like many others, is the Farm Out not being sorted yet. The dragging of feet may well have allowed other parties to come to the table, but the disclosure of many of them wishing to see the seismic survey yet to be done, has an air of delay about it. Will a Farm Out be done with a well or two sunk this year, I doubt it. I do hope I am wrong! Will we get a Farm Out agreement this year? Yes, we should.

Money in the bank good. 35,000 barrels yet to ba sold and now at a high price, very fortunate for MATD and great news too.

Sunsteppe perhaps swapping the order of projects about is a little frustrating too, but as long as they land them one way or the other, this won't matter much about the order in which they go live.

No real drive for new wells this year is disappointing. Reworking what we have will hopefully deliver a nice uplift and bring H2 online and perhaps Gobi may shine too.

Conclusion is a gentle year of growth, but lift off now expected in 2027 for action, revenue growth and sp growth too, IMO.

No real changes here. Moving in the right direction. Definitely going for a farm out deal. No suggested interest in going alone.

No suggestion about any need to raise due to hightened oil prices and revenues.

Equally, and as stated before, I am open to any plan B ( sale) or plan C ( funding to go it alone) as I am to a plan A ( Farm out).

As long as something meteoric and fast with real impact for rapidly increasing wells, flows and income.

Sorry Climbingwooster. But with no news and the stail old crumbs given by MB of an imminent deal sounds as hollow as Trump stating a deal is close with Iran.

I doubt MB would miss an opportunity to drop a fabulous RNS if there were one to drop. Hence one can only conclude......

It is almost impossible now to imagine the Farm Out agreement has happened and there is now growing doubt that it will.

I hope I'm wrong. But this is starting to feel a little worrying and smell slightly off, to me.

The fundamental facts remain strong , but the nagging questions about Farm Out deal or no deal and how accelerated extraction of oil will be achieved seem to be red hot and still extremely unclear and in doubt.

MB has his work cut out for thursday and must somehow magic a huge fat rabbit from up his sleeve. We will see....

If so, crude will go down in the short term for sure. Aggression will become tribal and break onto the streets around the world for the next 2 or 3 months. It's called The World Cup....

Next week brings a highly likely escalation in the war with Iran. Lots of damage to oil infrastructure across the middle east.

I would imagine they would want shares for cash.

What we can all see is the ratios and equations all change due to shortages, damage to infrastructure in the middl east, higher prices, greater margins and a window of opportunity is ajar for a better deal or no deal at all with our future in our hands.

That said, the deal could already be struck and set in stone. With whom is really important for any realistic options to be considered. If PC or a Chinese related partner is the Farm Out party, then due to the route of sale for the crude, we can't really change the deal. We could be cut off for the ease of selling and realising our income.

Lots of if's buts and maybe's. Lets see what MB has settled on, when it kicks in and what our income stream is going to look like and how soon!

To me, this must create a real temptation for the board to go it alone.

Equally, the risks of this being a relatively short term price spike are high and MB is a steady and cautious planner.

I am open to any outcome. I don't see a significant downside either way. As long as there is activity, early, and a real sense of urgency to get more wells online and to sink new wells as quickly as possible.

My real point is, regardless of whichever route one looks at here, MATD is looking very strong right now.

Greater production from H1 and Gobi can only increase total flows for MATD to above 500 bpd. That is something that can be achieved right now. Starting in Q2.

Currently would hope for at least $75 margin per barrel maintained by MATD at current ish levels. Therefore Gross income grows to $37,500 per day revenue retention. That looks quite sexy to me!
