If this were correct and the land was sold and is now transacted to MATD, then this should result in an RNS any second!

this goes down to almost a monopoly situation where a public private partnership initiative (pppi) arrangement is coming into operation. whilst a smaller country population, the natural resources are huge and export potential is massive.

a 50% ish share of 50% of the oil and gas reserves is still enormous.

the numbers are staggering as long as the lp is issued and the wells start pumping revenue.

a quick *** packet look will say an extraction with heron alone is going to be circa 10,000 bpd. a margin of $40 per barrel. that is $20 for 50%. that is $200,000 per day or $70 million plus of profit after costs. with a multiple of say 20, that values the company at $1.4 billion or just over £1 per share.

then you go to the really big fields....and you see where this can go.

plus renewables etc.

we will see. my average sp.purchase of 3.8p per share looks great to me.

Conversely Professional, it is exactly as a result of this structure and set up in Mongolia that deters a lot of companies from entering the market.

We have MB, who has engaged closely within the complicated corridors of power in Mongolia, he has advised them and played an active part in the tender processes assisting the ministries of government. Or to put it another way, he is inside the tent p@*ing out!

It is exactly for this reason that the prospects for Matad are so exciting and good and why I have invested so heavily in this company.

I don't think so. I think it is because there have been so many false Hope's and time frames that until it has landed and it is real with everything fully legally able to be totally operational, the SP will languish.

Once real this will be an absolutely different kettle of fish. That is what I think and hope will happen.

Exactly, Vikinglass. I have bought at around 4.45 and feel that just under 10% less than the share option price offered to the staff, this is a fair enough price for more.

Managed to buy another sizeable block of shares this morning. Not the cheapest but more on board the sky rocket still sitting on the launch pad.

Yes, WOS. MATD feels right and looks as though it will be coming in soon.

The couple of gentle drops on X over the last few months reporting presence and activity on the ground in Mongolia also suggests a degree of confidence in the company's place and function with a strong future. We have all, including myself, criticised MB for such a long silence, which I have always felt has been caused by the nervousness of the delicately poised situation with the environmental campaigners and complicated politics with a lack of legally laid routes in place to get to where they need to be. But as my father always said, "When in doubt, do nought!". Now we can start to really sense, almost certainly know, what is about to happen.

The bear is waking up and boy, will it be big when it comes out of hibernation! Let's hope there is now nothing that can stymie this sense of imminent success now!

This post is good to see the operational background agreements are being revisited, tweaked and sorted to ensure a quick transition into production. All of the ducks lined up in a row and ready to go quackers!

This doesn't change the fact that the LP is not issued and still delayed. But once it is, this should make everything quick to turn on.

A good release and piece of intel and all looks to be in the right place and happening, awaiting the main event and that RNS. It could be this week, next week, whenever. As long as it is sometime before the end of the hiatus winter freeze down, then that is great with me. I would like to see the RNS before the end of February. Nothing will be lost as long as it is issued before the end of March or mid April! But we do have elections in Mongolia in June and it would be best to have everything safely in the bag before there are any other reasons or excuses for delays. The sooner the better for me.

They seem to have not materially sorted anything out yet and have not suggested any resolution is close to hand. Therefore my hope for a good RNS before the end of February still seems about right.
