RE: Why Petro Matad is on the Path to be a Major Energy Operation6 Sep 2025 13:48
ADW, I don't believe H2 will be a massive rerate for the sp. More a gentle nudge up.
I feel that on a back of a cigarette packet calculations basis, that IF H2 were to pump 100 bpd, and IF the margin were circa $37 per barrel, then one could imagine $1.35 million or Β£1 million annual income generation.
Roughly, though this is based on moveable sand dunes in regards to the price of crude variables etc, each single bpd generated at H2 is roughly and roundly worth Β£10k per year of income from that one well, would be a nice way of looking at it.
Hopefully before next weekend we will see an encouraging RNS. If good, a gentle rise to between 1p to 2.5p per share, IMO. If bad, then a slip in sp to 0.6p or so.
The Farmout is where the real rerate to 8p or so will come from. However the terms of the Farm Out and the real value does depend on the positive results of H2, Gazelle and to a point, Gobi. In that sense, H2 has a big role to play in determining our future deal. Quite an important outcome to be announced soon.
