Gone from "The Company has already met with a number of promising potential acquisition targets" 9th April to "it is not in any advanced discussions" 7 days later. Is it just me or are these two statements saying the same thing?

Can they not do both at the same time? Announce an open offer, publish a circular and call an egm for a few weeks time to approve? Obviously if it sounded remotely decent they'd easily get it all approved and oo success

Question for you all. It was rumoured that Peterhouse had forward sold 1.6bn shares, which because of the resolution not passing now need to be bought. Was this rumour wrong? Have they been slowly buying? Or is there a reason they haven't yet? Thoughts?

This isn't my first rodeo on this type of thing, Halifax and barclays always the last to be sorted and sometimes takes until nearer 11am.

You are confusing three points here, and it's important to clarify. 1. They may well need to find raise, but either we will get a rights issue or it will be non dilutive . 2. They have 6 months before enforced suspension. But an rto should happen long before that! 3. The only other reason they would suspend is due to the circular already being out and market stability.

This could be a suspended for a short time once the rto circular is out, but not until then. For balance I should point out the obvious here, there is a natural fair price this will sit at until we actually get news. The question is what is that price...
