Momentum in the media is building towards question the all-out-for-vaccines approach. The EU-UK dispute side-tracked the media interest a little so Prof Holgate's letter is very well timed. Other media outlet should soon copy.
It is also well-past due time for Synairgen to openly question the Government's obvious lack ofinterest in SNG when the Americans are all over it.

Agreed K-mac. Look at the many 'copy-cat' inhaled versions of other medicines that Synairgen has already sparked off. Kind-of wonder why no one ever thought of it before ...

I agree. It very much seems like they do like to do things the 'proper' way, dotting their i's and crossing their t's.

Won't be surprised if, when they are ready, we see a slew of information and PR releases like a giant domino set-up.

Got to take my hat off to RM and the team - how smart have they been to:
a) move quickly into the Covid market last year
b) look at home delivery system
c) look across the pond for success.

Whilst this govt seems to be reactive at best, Synairgen have been forward looking and continue to be forward looking - even considering post this Covid pandemic.

Their PR department still needs beefing up, they still need to get to the stage of shouting from the rooftops ... but that aside, how is this for timing and positioning:

Relax. Price hasn't been butchered. This is just the normal ebb and flow of prices between news.

Clearly there has been some sort of press release (see various news release link from Tommy: This Week). Makes a change that SNG is actually named in these articles! Next step - target to have Synairgen or SNG001 as the sub-heading or even better, the main heading :-)

Back to SP - The most recent high from early Nov is at 197p. This price point is always going to take a bit of a push to overcome. We are in the early stages of a rising trend. Expect pullbacks. These pullbacks are good buying opportunities.

Just speculating - £2K was for a 14 day course - in a hospital setting (correct me if I am wrong).
Maybe for home delivery/application, it could be priced per day; patients with milder symptoms may not need the full 14-day course. Both would lower the price.
If we can ramp out production or license enmass, I am all for lower unit price to supply millions of doses.

Question: SNG is officially part of the Activ trial since 12 Jan. Why does it take 2 weeks to make this announcement?

Interesting / suspicious (?) inclusion and exclusion criteria!

Inclusion criteria:
"Must be willing to use one highly effective birth control method which include: abstinence, hormonal contraceptives (e.g. combined oral contraceptives, patch, vaginal ring, injectables, and implants); intrauterine device (IUD) or intrauterine system (IUS); vasectomy and tubal ligation or to use two forms of effective birth control methods which include: barrier methods of contraception (e.g. male condom, female condom, cervical cap, diaphragm, contraceptive sponge);

Hormonal methods and the IUD must be in use at least 30 days prior to first Study drug administration
Abstinence and barrier methods must be in use at least 14 days prior to Study drug administration
Vasectomy must be completed 3 months prior to first Study drug administration; or in the alternative that a 0 sperm count will suffice."

Exclusion criteria:
"Diagnosed with prior COVID-19 infection (>48 hours from the time the test is reported prior to the time of screening)"

Thanks for that TipTop. Brought the following quote to my attention - missed it before:

"Interestingly, the efficacy analyses indicate there is no evidence of an association between the SNG001 positive treatment effects and prior duration of COVID-19 symptoms."

This is great news as it means that SNG is not as time sensitive as some of the other treatments out there.

Dippfs, I am sure they considered your point when designing this P3 trial. Perhaps it is to double check if there is a statistical difference with a larger group of all ages? I would not worry about this- these endpoints will just help guide the medical profession how and when best to administed SNG001.

I heard more this time round like for instance Prof Holgate confirming his vision of Synteferon working in the home setting against other viruses such as the flu. Also points to big news ahead very soon. (I'm not saying imminently ;-)

I don't know much about patents but from what we can see and deduce so far (thanks Pmjh!) the Synairgen team are involved at the highest level in the USA and talking to the right people there; and in business - and this is a business - being first to the post, having all your ducks lined up (including manufacturing in the masses) and the right contacts makes all the difference.

Each to their own -if you're not happy with the stock, just sell up and reinvest elsewhere.
