There are many ways SNG can be utilised. If price is a big issue, then perhaps not necessarily as the first point of defence against Covid19.

It could, as has been suggested previously, be given to those with a genetic pre-disposition or existing co-morbidities.

It could be rationed to those above 50, 60, 70 years of age.

It could be given to those who, after testing positive, go on to develop a drop in oxygen saturation (here an overnight amazon prime delivery might come in handy ;-)

It SHOULD be given early to those who have previously had a bad case of Covid and get re-infected again.

No government can afford to give a non-generic drug (whether it cost £100 or £2000 per dose) to every member of its population, but that does not mean that they cannot prioritise who should get it, and when.

So yes, cost is an issue, but NO it does not mean that cost should stop this government from providing this as a treatment to those who need it.

And let's face it, it could also be made available by private prescription so that those who can afford to buy privately, can do so.

Spinnamaker - I seem to remember reading somewhere that the concern of escape of the virus from a nebuliser was one of the reasons Synairgen went with another model. Can't remember who posted the link/info - just remember reading about it.

I do agree that it is a valid concern - but from the PR perspective. Look at what happened with the negative press from the WHO trials of subcutaneous interferons.

Think that article refers to interferon B 1b applied subcutaneously. I think - I only skimmed the article.

I see that too, Ferrari. It is as if the BBC dares not or has been instructed to, keep our name out and stick to the generic term of interferons.

Well said, Tommy. We were frustrated with the apparent slowness of SNG trial roll-out but all becomes more understandable if patients were being prioritised to go onto Recovery trials.

One positive I can see with the Agile roll-out is that at least the narrative is now moving on from 'only Oxford'. The scientific community at large must have been equally fed-up with just news relating to 'Oxford'.

Note the specific use of 'THE' i.e. little to no competition as far as they are concerned.

TBF it is a good idea have a diversified portfolio. To this end I have invested 4% of my portfolio in a few other stocks and 96% in SNG! A pretty balanced portfolio, wouldn't you say? ;-) ;-)

Price moves in waves which are fractal in nature. The triangle highlighted by the tweet is from the high of 26 Jan. That sub-wave is a move down which will implies that the next break out of the triangle is actually south-wards.

How does this equate with our expectation of an announcement and a move upwards? I don't know.

All I can say is what I have done: I have sold a small % of my share (which I bought at too high a price) and if price retraces, I will buy back in. If price explodes, then I will be philosophical and look for another entry.

I am glad that some are open to the potential usefulness of, at least, some technical analysis. There are several (technical analysis) schools of thought, with some common ground between them. It is by no means a prediction, simply a means of seeing and calculating probability and possibility.

For instance an enquiry earlier from ChrisToffer referring to a triangle pattern possibly indicating an imminent (!) ascending move. Unfortunately, it is not necessarily that straightforward. I actually 'see' a potential smaller triangle within a triangle... ;-)

Yes HarChris, that is the nature of technical analysis. It deals with possibilities/probabilities not certainties.

If you think that price is going to reach a certain zone, then you could place a buy or sell order at that point, or watch price movement near that zone before making a decision.

Anyway, I did not intend my post to cause issues - just sharing some thoughts.

The beauty of this BB is the number of researchers in the fundamentals of this company. That is a real weakness of mine.

I kicked myself the last couple of times I was too scared (FOMO) at selling out at 255 then at the lower level after that, even though I saw clear technical evidence.

I did however buy more in at 80 and 90 again after finding supporting technical evidence.

TBF I am not 100% about my own technical analysis (Tornatony is much, much better at it) but I find it helps my piece of mind to have some idea of where price can retrace to (CAN being the operative word - not will). It certainly helped me when price retraced to the lows of 75.

I did not post to deramp - if you read my last sentence, I see retracement as a positive as the next stage is an upward movement.

No de-ramping Zwartkops. I'm in SNG but price can and does retrace. I see this as a possibility at this moment, due to lack of news and momentum needed to break the next price barrier.
I'd appreciate no name calling,please.

I agree Joey. I have a buy in position waiting for the retracement (or if I am wrong with my analysis, a buy to catch up!) ;-)

I know not many of your are pro-technical analysis but I have been expecting a retracement for a little while. The last few days have only given more weight to a retracement in progress.

I would expect initial pull back to the low 160s, before a little bounce up but I think price should drop to at least the 38% retracement (c. 148) but will likely reach 50% (c. 135). The next typical retracement ratio is at 61.8% (c. 120). Not sure my nerves can take any lower.

Nice thing after this 'pain' though is that price should go up-up and away!
