Ok, I am going to look right dim - but where is the search function? I have looked several times but can't find an easy way to search past posts beyond looking through an individual's post history. BTW I am not a premium member; don't know if that makes a difference.

God, I don't even know how one copes with such an unexpected bill. Just grateful we have a universal health care system, free at the point of need.

I was responding to another poster about BetterLife having a shelf life of only 6 months. Synairgen is way ahead in many, many ways - not least having a longer shelf life which in turns logistically is ideal.

You are probably talking about the 'bed and breakfast rule'. Has been clamped down quite a bit but still a few limited ways round it, which may or may not apply to your individual circumstances.

I was looking up what the average success rate of phase 3 trials was and came across this article from Paraxel. It is a few years old and I haven’t read it in full but rather encouraging to know that they know about running successful phase 3 trials!

The vaccine programme and lockdown is fundamentally about saving lives and reducing the burden on the NHS. Without the first, the NHS will be overwhelmed and we would be in the state that Brazil is in. The second is so that we can start having more freedom of movement , some sort of normality.

But I think you already know this.

So why open up the society before we have all been fully vaccinated?

It is because it is a balancing act between saving lives and keeping the economy going, not to mention the negative mental effect lockdown is having, plus those caught in an abusive relationship, etc, etc. Let's not start on the political maneuvering. Once the most-at-risk group have been vaccinated, thereby conveying some degree of protection, then the less-at-risk group can start having a little more normality, businesses and jobs can be saved, the backlog of mental, health and social problems can begin to be addressed again.

While the NiH article is a positive argument for interferon (how that differs from the WHO analysis!), the Lancet review on the Synairgen P2 trial has not been referenced as they searched the database only up to 30 Oct and our Lancet article was printed on 12 Nov! Arrgh! I also see (only skimmed the abstracts) that these largely deal with subcutaneous application.

So this meta-analysis is limited and already out-of-date! SNG P2 trial data would only have shown how much more promising interferon is.

Why not forward to some news agencies as well? Will need a catchy title though. Lots of people would benefit from a quick, all-in-one summary.

Perhaps the giveaway is the quote that this same Prof patented curcumin as a cancer cure!

Yes, I believe Synairgen has applied for patent for SNG use for both Covid and COPD - but there are better informed posters who can confirm this.
