It is certainly a trying time to be in this, and a number of other names, right now.

Like another stock I own, and which I posted on earlier today (and will repeat again here) - at times like this, I like to remind myself of why I was bullish on a stock in the first place. Reviewing previous RNS's for one thing.

Unlike that particular one, the BOD here have not put their hands in their pocket and I blame them in part for how they have managed things since the last update.

Which is partially the reason for why the SP has lost so much since the highs not long ago, IMO.

All that said, we have some positive large shareholder prints quite recently, and a business that really should be fine, even with the commie government policies. Hardly trading on a frothy valuation either.

But time will tell and we all could be right, or wrong.

Will see where we are around Xmas time. Hopefully a good deal higher than now! Lol. GLA.

Well, the market seems to agree with you currently.

Must admit, it is never particularly comfortable seeing a stock you own continue to drop lower (especially when a buy order fills, only to drop immediately, lol) but we will see soon enough whether this is going to remain within the current range, or set a new low.

Sitting on my hands now until that point. With fingers very much crossed! GLA.

Tough market and higher borrowing costs - just look at the difference in cost for the first one mentioned in the RNS versus the last one - and that is not really that high, compared to what some outfits are having to pay right now.

Throw in the basket case continuity UK government high tax, high spend policies (and the likely US protectionist policies in the pipes) and it would be more of a surprise if this name was bucking the wider trend. AIMO anyway.

I have been in this one before and it remains on my watch list. I have a target price for returning here and will post if it hits.

If that day never comes, then GLA and I hope it goes well for you.

Very unlikely unless they announce no intention to increase their TTG bid, IMO.

But I could see perhaps a quick return to 345p-ish in the event they do confirm they are going to step back altogether.

I agree with the other poster that we are going to tread water here until we know for sure, one way or the other.

Adequate to middling, I would say.

Hopefully no more acquisitions for a while. Pay down debt and improve the balance sheet (which is fine right now, but could be stronger still).

I would expect them to make some cost savings to at least somewhat offset those NI rises.

Dividend needs to remain.

This is not a fast growing tech stock, and will not IMO attract sufficient new funds to pick up the shares that dividend-focused funds would drop, if they took that decision.

But a moot point, as I do not think they will do that.

If we are not seeing material growth/higher profit this time next year, then the BOD will likely be to blame for that, not the economy. Given the type of business this is. AIMO and GLA.

Apparently they own 2.95% of TTG stock. No idea of the average price paid though.

As I said before - adequate.

Perhaps a buy back, up to a couple of million quid or so, might help shift the momentum somewhat here.

Will still leave us with a strong balance sheet, and not affect the current dividend either.

Cancelled shares would also reduce the future dividend payment obligations too, so an investment of sorts, in that sense.

IMO, a SP in the early to mid 70's would be about right at the time of print, but we just seem to be stuck in a moribund trading range.

I will give you a little tip: if you want to call someone a climate denier or a fan of one politician or another, it might be worth considering adding an 'IMO' or 'I believe' to those sentences.

Especially when there is ample evidence, just on these chat boards, that both of those allegations made against me are entirely false.

I wonder if you are from the US, based on your spelling of defense. Not that it matters, but just curious.

As to your opinion that I take implies that we in the West should essentially suck it up when it comes to accepting a significantly more expensive and weaker energy security, because of historical responsibility (presumably the Industrial Revolution), well I disagree with that. It is entirely illogical, to put it tactfully.

Feel free to self flagellate for what you appear to deem to be the sins of your fathers, but I am more interested in the bigger picture.

And I wholly reject the premise of atonement for historical stuff. Which is why I have no plans to demand the Italians or other historical invaders pay me compensation for the military activities of their ancestors.

My posting history shows that I am no fan of DT and some of the reasons why.

Obviously, if I was an American, given the options available, he was the only one you could choose, if you remotely cared about free speech and addressing the significant levels of illegal immigration. Or getting some degree of control over public spending and the spiralling deficit.

Whether he actually deals with the second point is open to judgement over the course of his administration. As to the first: unlikely he could be more restrictive than the Dems were. As to the final point: I think, with the help of EM, based on what he managed to do so successfully when he bought Twitter, he will possibly improve things on that front.

Certainly better than then Dems would have anyway - but - I have serious doubts about the degree of effectiveness. Time will tell anyway.

If you had looked at my posting history, perhaps you might have seen that your preconceptions about me are overwhelmingly wrong.

As to whether or not my land gets flooded one day as a result of climate change, it will more likely be due to non-western activities than that of the UK.

I am pretty sure you know just what some of the other massive polluters are doing, all of which dwarfs anything that we in the UK can do to offset it.

I guess we could stop sending 'dignitaries' to exotic locations for climate conferences. All the private planes, limos and fancy meals that are freshly flown in from over 20 countries for these little gatherings.

There was a time, not really that long ago, when educated people could converse and share a frank exchange of differing ideas. Without being called 'one of them' or being accused of 'getting their news from X'.

Not everyone who has an issue with the net zero agenda is 'against the environment'. Quite the opposite in fact.

Most of us (including a number of scientists) do not simply 'follow the science' of government-approved people blindly.

Are you aware that some doctors claimed that smoking was good for you in the old days?

Or that some scientists refuted the impact of fossil fuels on the environment in the 1970's?

There is a name for those types of experts.

Who do you think has a demonstrable track record of responsible financial management in government?

Here or across the Pond? Or any western European country, for that matter? Who would you like to see given these roles?
