I stand with the farmers. To think how much worse so many policies have been than the Poll Tax and yet so little reaction.

Hopefully, before too much longer, we might see a response that clears out the weak leaders and gives the country a chance to elect strong men to bring back the good times...

If the Tories are back in power in four years, then, for all the stuff that actually matters (to the majority of Brits and the wider nation itself), it will simply be the same pig swapping rosettes.

Until we get a government that embraces improving domestic productivity and national security (especially border controls), then we have only ourselves to blame for continuing to leave ourselves vulnerable to foreign policies, such as tariffs.

Something that we have done for decades and counting. Something which may, sooner or later come at a heavy price.

I took profits myself recently too. My first 4 quid-ish slice was followed by a few more, then fully out.

Just do not think this is ready to push on yet. Could easily be wrong of course.

Presumably there are still a lot of trapped holders who are looking to exit at any sign of some liquidity.

All this time and still no conclusion on Stal. BOD radio silence on this (hardly unusual for this lot, based on their historical performance). No new deals whatsoever, for even longer.

The 'acquisition' they made...lol.

Cash runway: I remember the CEO pointing to the length of this a few raises ago. When the SP was much higher and the number of shares in issue, far fewer.

The question I asked myself a while ago, when I was still a shareholder, was where are the new deals?

This was even before we were informed that there was a dispute over Stal, although if you look at the SP action, months before notification, it looks like the market smelled that something might have been wrong with that already.

But while there is cash in the kitty and the generous salaries can still be met, then I guess hopium can still be inhaled.

And, as I said in my previous post, if it does come good for those of you with a different opinion, then I will offer my congratulations. GLA.

Anyway, the chart suggests we might (finally) be starting to form a bottom here, although we need at least another week or so around this price or higher for that to be a potentially validated claim. GLA.

I guess that perhaps means that not a lot of UK investors touch the US PM miners.

Or (like me) they thought this platform was only for UK stocks discussion, so never thought to look for a foreign name.

I meant this site generally. Have never posted on the Newmont UK chat board. Never looked at it for that matter. Does not sound like I missed much though, although am curious now, so will take a look...

I was adding Newmont and PAAS close to the lows a year or so ago. Seemed at the time like only me and Schiff were doing so, lol.

Only currently in this one and Barrick right now. Ultimately, I think the PMs are going to go lower before they continue with their respective uptrends.

But I cannot see how this commodity and other real ones like oil etc, are not going to ultimately power higher in the years ahead. Seems inevitable to me, while we continue on a path of unsound money.

We could easily see another week or two of this. The markets are somewhat overbought right now.

I am still viewing this as generally a buy the dips period, but time will tell and not advice for others to follow similarly.

That is why bonds are generally not a good investment. I have some from those decent yields a year or so ago, but I was never under the illusion that they were going to give me a break-even return. Based on real rates of inflation etc.

I think it was Rick Rule or Jim Rickards who called them a 'reward-free risk asset' - but apologies if I am incorrectly allocating the quote to one or both of them. I know I heard it somewhere, and generally I am inclined to agree with whoever it was who said it.

Anyway, I had a feeling that this was going to see 28p-ish when the markets had another wobble.

So that is the price where I will take a small amount more. If it comes to pass, of course. GLA.

Well, the silver chart looks like it could have some good support around 29 USD IMO.

Either way, I am less concerned with the short term spot price movements of the PM's.

The miners though...like to keep you on your toes, no matter the spot price!

Newmont back at 40 USD-ish (if it hits) will be tempting to me for a partial re-buy.

And I offloaded some Barrick near the year highs, so am probably going to take a few of those back if it returns to 15-ish. Some dodgy third world political mischief happening in one of their locations though, so am watching that closely. Hopefully a degree of common sense will see a resolution before too long, but you can never tell with these types of failed states. Hey ho. GLA.

Not that you should necessarily put much truck in the following, but there is a very positive article in Simply Wall Street, dated yesterday afternoon, which I have just seen. And just read, naturally.

They usually have one or more 'warning signs', however positive the overall tone of their articles, but none for CARD in this one, which was interesting.

Sensible strategy, Mary. Luckily I took some off the table when 8 quid was not tested on the second attempt. Around break even. For once, a decision that was using my better judgement, rather than sticking with my original plan!

Still overweight here, but that decision has saved me a fair few thousands. On paper at least.

It is not a significant percentage of overall production thankfully, but it is yet another issue to contend with.

I will pick some of those back up if we see the low 570s (assuming the spot price behaves in the meantime), but will be trading all tranches here going forward. GLA.

But IMO we need to break through that 66p-ish level first. Until then, this is very much range-bound.

In your professional opinion, who does the blame sit with?

The internal finance team, or the established external professional advisers they have?

I have my own views, but would welcome yours.

I do not think anyone would care what it looked like if they bought a truckload now - if they are able to do so.

Better that, than buying none (again, if one were to assume they were actually able to, and I do not know if they can, or cannot, right now).

Anyway, no fresh news on this name that I can see. Monday or Tuesday will probably be the time where something comes, like management changes etc - if indeed it is going to happen before the review is published, IMO. GLA.
