Hy24 and EDF’s Hynamics: Powering the Future of UK Hydrogen at Fawley

The UK’s hydrogen economy has just taken a bold step forward. Hy24 and Hynamics have joined forces to explore the development and financing of the £300 million Fawley Green Hydrogen Project, a landmark 120MW facility adjacent to ExxonMobil’s Fawley refinery, the largest in the UK.

The project, supported under the UK government’s Hydrogen Allocation Round 2 (HAR2), is expected to begin producing low-carbon hydrogen by 2029, providing clean fuel for major industrial users and contributing directly to decarbonising aviation, including Heathrow Airport.

Recent History:

ITM Power has been selected by EDF Renewables UK and Hynamics (a subsidiary of EDF Group) to provide an engineering integration package for the Tees Green Hydrogen project. This project, located in the North East of England, is part of the UK government's Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 and aims to supply green hydrogen to local industries and transport sectors.

The collaboration involves ITM Power integrating four of its Neptune II electrolyser systems into the wider plant infrastructure. This builds upon a previous capacity reservation announced in July of the previous year with a major utility, which has now been revealed to be Hynamics. The project is designed to contribute to decarbonisation efforts in the region by providing green hydrogen

They actually need a mix of everything, unwise to put all your eggs in one basket and this applies to mobility and the latest push by Government to by BEV’ that apparently are so popular which contradicts the reason for subsidies to buy them 🫡

I personally don’t know anyone who owns a BEV, I know lots of people who have a BEV as a second car but it’s leased and they’ve all said when their lease agreement expires they will not have another one. Hydrogen Combustion and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles are massively better for both the environment and usability.

The ITM Power subsidiary Hydropulse has agreed on a strategic partnership with the project developer, the Eternal Power GmbH. Together, the two companies want to establish a "💧Hydrogen -as-a-Service" model. The aim is to accelerate the implementation of industrial 💧Wasserstoffprojekte in Deutschland. The first deliveries are to be made as early as summer 2025.

Summer runs from 21st June to 22nd September so maybe news on our preliminary results scheduled for August 14th - or earlier!

Some Facts

Wookiee 🤦‍♂️, I first bought here at £2.15 and I still hold those same shares, I would have loved to have bought in the 90’s. Looking at daily movements while exciting on the way up we have to expect some consolidation before the next big push up ⬆️ . I have been buying little and often and even managed a purchase at 25.64p and that was a tough decision for me at the time but now in hindsight I wish I went stronger on that purchase. Our CEO is going to restore shareholder value, not just for us pi’s but More importantly the Institutional Investors who bought in at £4 per share. I’m hoping £5 within 12 months and a lot more Cash Generative Months ahead. ITM are in an incredibly Strong financial position and that’s what we should be looking at.

Wookiee, it’s also important to look at the massive gains over the last few months, nothing goes up in a straight line forever and the next round of news will move us past £1 and beyond.
