In terms of the unique MOA, I'm sticking to my guns though. Had this morning's RNS really been such a game-changer, the SP would have increased a lot more than 16% (at the time of writing).

That's not to say it won't help get a potential deal over the line. But in itself, it's not revolutionary.

In June 2021, they REITERATED the unique mechanism of action. It's there in black & white if you care to read the 24 Jun 2021 07:00 RNS.

So, the unique mechanism of action was known about some time before 2021.

If you honestly believe the MOA was unproven back then, you're delusional. They simply wouldn't be able to make a statement like that without having the evidence & proof to back it up.

Here's an extract from IMM's 24 June 2021 RNS:

"ImmuPharma and Avion are fully committed to commencing the Lupuzor™ Phase 3 trial in Lupus patients this year. Again, we reiterate Lupuzor's™ unique mechanism of action and robust safety profile to date."

So we knew - almost 4 years ago - about the "unique mechanism of action". We were also told back then that "ImmuPharma and Avion are fully committed to commencing the Lupuzor™ Phase 3 trial ....this year (i.e. 2021)".

So what's happened since to delay things?

Goldgeezer - actually it's NOT pretty clear you're correct.

All that's clear is that today's RNS told people what we already knew. So it hasn't moved the dial significantly for now.

Only news of a high value deal with a partner will do that.

GoldGeezer - whether Lanstead want to sell or not depends on where they think IMm’s heading.

Sure, offloading now would help suppress the SP, thereby reducing their monthly repayments.

But if they buy into IMM’s big pharma deal story, why would they want to reduce their shareholding now, when their shares are likely to be worth far more in the near future? Unless they believed they could sell on spikes then pick them up again cheaper before any deal is announced. But if they bought back in, that would likely send the SP up again, so a bit self-defeating.

It all boils down to whether they actually believe in Tim’s jam tomorrow story this time round.

Why spend more money if they didn't think it would ultimately generate a return?

Unless, as you suggest, it's purely to carry on the pretence, thus propping up INC's SP.

Either way, it's a murky, incestuous form of cross-funding which could end in tears for hoth parties.

At least Tim’s inside knowledge is handy. Means he can cut IMM’s losses by writing off those warrants if patent negotiations are grim & he sees Incanthera’s SP continuing to go down the toilet.

Those Incanthera warrants are currently out of the money still.

Unless there’s some form of patent infringement resolution within the next 3 weeks, it looks like another £75k will have to be shelled out, to extend the agreement yet again.

JBCo - I think you mean "no more short term balance sheet concerns".

They still need to raise (most likely through their Taiwanese subsidiary) before being completely out of the woods.

Some sales & profit would be nice too.

Stocksr - A lot of SMT's holdings are in volatile, cyclical US sectors.

Add in the unpredictability (that's being charitable) of POTUS and you've a heady mix.

That's why SMT's SP has dropped 15% + from this year's peak.

It's hard to assess the fundamentals of any company when it's subject to constant flip-flopping economic policy. But I'd say most of the ones you mention still have sound prospects longer term. Though longer term could - at worst - mean post-Trump.

That said, he's already rowed back on a number of his tariff threats. Trump may be happy for a bit of short term "indigestion". But his voters won't if that leads to higher prices & inflation in the run up to the November 2026 mid terms. As I said before, he's almost bound to backtrack on his bluster once the impacts start to hurt his MAGA groupie base.

My gut feel is this update doesn’t stack up.

How has Hex managed to acquire Weil #1 for just £230k, when it “has potential to generate a further $4 million per year of pre-tax cash-flow”?

If that potential’s likely, why on earth would the seller accept such a low price? You could argue it’s down to Bo’s superior knowledge & negotiation skills. But I suspect there’s more to it than that.

Either that $4 million figure is highly speculative still or Bo’s resuscitating an asset he already had his paws on when working for a different outfit & is now re-acquiring it under a new “wrapper” & with shareholders’ money rather than purely his own.
