Spantrout - presumably IMM would only exercise if either:

a) it could make an instant turn by promptly re-selling the shares (unlikely ATM) or:

b) Tim's inside knowledge means he knows a deal with Incanthera for Skin + CELL is imminent & nailed on (also unlikely given their latest RNS)

Barring either of the above, the only other reason would be if INC is in desperate need of cash (quite possible).

It really is a grubby cross-company deal & you have to ask what on earth the NEDs were thinking about when they let it pass.

3LB - yes, we wouldn't want anyone having a grouse with you.

To me, it's clear INC's deal with A S Watson is either severely delayed or (more likely) dead in the water.

There's no other reason why it wouldn't have been mentioned in today's RNS.

And this - along with termination of the Sol agreement - is clearly why INC's SP has fallen over 16% this morning.

As a result IMM's warrants are barely in the money now, so probably not worth exercising. Only Tim will know whether INC has a realistic chance of monetising Skin + Cell any time soon. But as others have said, he may extend the warrants yet again anyway, just to try to convince investors all is not lost. Even if it is.

Why didn’t the latest RNS state this deal was still on track, following settlement of this claim? Unless it isn’t….

I get the argument that if no-one countered certain posters, they’d be free to mislead others.

On the other hand, if everyone simply filtered them, they’d soon get bored & move on.

These sort of people thrive on attention (think Trump). Deny them the oxygen, pop them in your little green filter box everybody. Then watch them vanish.

Spantrout - I agree with you, but Tim IS trying to balance the two, even though it's a dodgy practice.

Peterpharma - presumably Tim has a better inside track than you on INC. Extending the deal would make perfect sense if INC still had a watertight deal with Marionnaud and INC's share price simply hadn't clocked this yet.

But I agree it DOES look odd that the latest RNS made no mention of it, as Tim's not usually backwards in coming forwards.

I guess it’s a balancing act for Tim between giving Incanthera more cash & maximising the value of IMM’s investment opportunity.

If Incanthera’s main deal has stalled or been abandoned, it would suit both parties to exercise now. But if Marionnaud’s deal with INC is subsequently resurrected, IMM (& by default, Tim) will look pretty stupid for selling out cheap.

GoldGirl - no great news there. The day you turn negative on IMM is the day the sky falls in.

Incanthera’s SP opened up a further 1p this am. Will be interesting to see what happens there. Given the uncertainty now over the Marionnaud partnership (it wasn’t referred to in their latest RNS), I hope they shell out another £75k to extend the term. Rather than exercise now, which would only generate a relatively small profit (compared to INC’s price pre- the patent infringement claim.

That RNS from Incanthera begs several questions.

It implies some form of settlement deal has been struck. But unless this is in favour of Incanthera, why would they have to pay when it’s legally proven there’s been no patent infringement?

Also, no reference to the ground-breaking rollout that was imminent just before this patent challenge came to light. Are Marionnaud still on board?

Finally, who was the third party claiming infringement, how much was settlement for and why is it all still confidential even though it has now been legally proven & agreed?

I try to give a degree of balance, as IMM could still come good. But I believe the odds remain stacked against it, especially as we've had no update on the revised P3 trial for several years now.

As with dusterinmong, if you only want to read positive posts, I suggest you just filter me & move on.
