FriedmanSowell - yes, it's certainly hard to remain a believer here after all we've been through.
Right now, my holding (just under £40k) is heavily underwater. Mainly because I thought SOH's guidance between 2017 & 2019 wouldn't be too far off the mark.
How wrong can you be! But I've continued to hold because I still see Sweetbiotix as a potential gamechanger and I do think it'll eventually be launched. The discovery of a new enzyme that can generat multiple SweetBiotix products with much higher yields (so lower manufacturing costs) is positive. Yes, we may find this delays Sweet's launch further, but if you're willing to wait, the eventual rewards could well be far greater now as a result.
Also, I see positive signs with Slimbiome now, as Opti has secured some serious partners within the last year or so and they finally appear to be having an impact. Amazon, too, has the potential to grow Opti's sales rapidly - particularly if they roll out to new markets & exploit its Subscribe & Save model. Before Opti hooked up with Amazon, I posted many times that they should be listing there and am glad they finally saw the light!
To sum up, I remain a disappointed but reasonably confident long term holder still. In fact, I'm tempted to add around current levels and may well if there's further slippage. But I've been burnt a few times with Aim shares in the past. So if the SP stabilises around current levels, I'll probably just hold what I've got & see what happens.
Good luck.
