So the general consensus is we’ll have min. 4-5 wells, each generating $4m pre-tax, within the next 6 months or so.
Let’s very conservatively assume 4 wells and a post-tax profit from each of $3m. So that’s $12m = c£9m.
Giving a P/E of around 5, which seems pretty low to me. Particularly if you factor in all the additional wells likely to come on stream in relatively short order. Sure, there are operational & geological risks still. But these seem very fully priced in at the moment. At such a relatively early stage, you don’t generally secure the type of institutional investor Hex has, unless they already sense a pretty compelling risk:reward ratio.
