As I am sure this mornings RNS shows, CyanConnode's position within the Smart Meter Programme, in India specifically, continues to show signs of progress generally and particularly with this second order from MonteCarlo, for Nagpur, in Maharashtra.

From the RNS:-

" The installation will be completed within 27 months and followed by a 93 month Support and Maintenance Contract, which will commence upon the completion of the installation phase.Approximately 60% of the contract will be paid during the installation phase, against either (i) letters of credit, or (ii) via a trade finance portal with 30-day payment terms. The remaining 40% of the contract will be paid for in equal monthly installments over the duration of the Support and Maintenance Contract period."

Thank you for the additional information on Gujarat. Very interesting. And I seem to remember that Prime Minister Modi's Parliamentary Seat was/is in Gujarat, so it was not suprising that he would be attending the Vibrant event in Gujarat, at some point.

But both Reliance Jio and Reliance Industries get a mention and from the report, the Gujarat 5G project has " .... set the tone for future connectivity services in India."

So this project could turn out to be very significant, for other similar projects in India, in the future.

I believe that CyanConnode had identified which way the smart meter market was heading, both in India and also globally, probably during 2018/2019ish and developed their own solution to accomodate it, which they lauched during 2020.

I posted some information on the main telecoms companies in India, during a previous discussion. But here is a list of the top Indian telecoms companies in India, along with some information on foreign telecoms companies that also trade in India.

Despite steady progress being made with RF in India, in connection with the smart meter programme, in which CyanConnode has played its part over the years, the telecommunications market still has a powerful voice and place, within Indian society and especially within the smart meter programme.

So all these different telecoms companies will have a significant part to play, I feel, in the future and progress of CyanConnode. In one way or another.

Thank you for the information on Bharti Airtel/IntelliSmart, it is appreciated. I had caught a glimpse briefly of the headline, on a pop-up on the computer this morning, but then forgot about it. So thank you sharing the relevant news reports and an interesting development.

And also the Bharti Airtel/Airtel Business/Adani tie-up, for another 20m smart meters.

So that is in total, 40m smart meters ( 16% of the total 250m potential smart electricity meters envisaged ) in India, that IntelliSmart and Partners are involved in, for these two contracts alone.

And then there is water and gas smart metering.

Very impressive, I must say.

The Unified Head - End System being developed by CyanConnode, is not the first UHES to be produced. But it should be another step forward for CyanConnode, during the coming year, during which the UHES should be commencing roll-out.

It also seems that the UHES could open up areas that were possibly not available to CyanConnode, with:- " This pioneering system will bridge RF and Cellular Meters, revolutionizing connectivity and efficiency in rural and semi-urban smart metering."

A potential expansion of CyanConnode's market penetration, I feel.

To my knowledge, there are nine Companies that are on the REC Empanelment List, that are also Partners of CyanConnode.

They are IntelliSmart, MonteCarlo, HPL, Genus Power Infrastructure, Tata Power, NCC, Schneider Electric, Alfanar and Capital Power. But not all of these Companies, are meter manufacturers.

You are also correct in implying Vas, to my knowledge, that IntelliSmart do not manufacture smart meters. That is something that they are keeping close to their chest. For whatever reason.

Got it, from the alternative website that you posted, so thank you for that.

Certainly, they both seemed fairly positive in August 2023. So they must be chomping on the bit, like some of us on the bb, at the possibility of potential news in the coming days/weeks/months.

I met Richard Penny briefly in London, some years ago, at a CyanConnode event. Glad to know he hadn't lost any of his enthusiasum for CyanConnode, in August 2023. His enthusiasum has hopefully increased over the last few month's or so, with the potential for orders gathering pace.
