Thank you for the information.

But interestingly, the Trilliant/MultiTech report, from January 2020 and the Trilliant/Fengar Technologies report, from February 2020, both highlight " Industrial Internet of Things ( IIoT ) and Smart Cities," as a specialist role, for both Fengar and MultiTech.

So it looks like, to me anyway, that Trilliant have edged their bets, in this specialized area, by going with these two companies initially. As companies do, in many cases.

I have provided the link on the Fengar Technologies report from Trilliant, that I posted to CB, earlier this week, for comparison.

Thank you for the clarification on Fengar Technologies, as I could not find any evidence that they " ..... appear to have a similar offer to CC." But offer something entirely different. Very well I would imagine, if they are working for Trilliant.

But I did mention last week, that there will probably be many companies involved with the India smart grid/smart meter roll-out, each company contributing with their own area of expertise. Large and small. Indian and international.

As I recognize that CyanConnode have always had and will always have, competition, I am always ready to acknowledge any competitor that CyanConnode will come up against.

I think your report from February 2020, gives some indication Vas, on what has been proposed. And that would be to extend the existing smart grid network. Progress has been made since the introduction/implementation of the original IPv4 solution. With CyanConnode now being able to offer a range of different solutions, if required, that were not developed when the original Mysore project was first tendered for. Including IPv6 and a Hybrid solution.

But progress seems to be being made, although it will never be at a speed that satisfies us as share-holders. Yet, that is.

But an interesting article by R.J. Ravikumar, highlighting the the benefits to CESC and their customers, alike.

......... DISCOM's using smart meters have been able to handle their operations smoothly amid the lockdown. This has resulted in a significant benefit of revenue to these DISCOM's with conventional meters struggled to generate and collect bills.

There are various Online Training Programs, advertised in this months ISGF, concerning the Smart Grid, for Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Cyber Security for Power Systems and Electric Mobility & Charging Infrastructure, from 20th May 2020 to 30th June 2020.

There is also a report on the proposed manufacturing requirement for India, for smart electricity meters.

From the report:-

" India needs to establish a manufacturing base of smart meters, to ensure adequate supply and should ensure that there are multiple players in the segment. There is a need to augment the manufacturing base of the smart meters, to ensure the supply of adequate number of meters to be installed all over the country."

I disagree. With the quotes on the EESL twitter page from May 3rd, 2020, highlighting AMI, I would say they have already started revisiting a few areas and are learning as they progress.

...... there are other examples that show some of the advantages of AMI over AMR, on the EESL twitter page, from May 3rd, 2020.

- " AMR or Automatic Meter Reading is an older technology, that only collects electrical energy consumption and transfers that data from the electric meter in the home, to the utility. ( One-way communication.)"

- " AMI or Advanced Metering Infrastructure enables two-way communication, enabling DISCOM's to serve its consumers more efficiently with real-time monitoring of energy consumption, quick grievance redressal and seamless payment.

There are also some examples of utilities coping better using AMI. Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and NDMC are mentioned.
