I agree. Confirmation that the Partnership between EESL and IntelliSmart has been formerly recognized, for the part they are both playing concerning the India Smart Meter program/rollout.

Good morning all,

I am encouraged by the news that meters are " ..... rolling off the production line ...... " in India. Which should mean that some meter manufacturers/suppliers are gearing up for the much anticipated Indian roll-out. Which I believe was requested by the GOI last year.

I would also think that many different industry specialists/suppliers/manufacturers are also doing the same.

" Smart " metering has been installed in India for some years now. As it has in the UK. A report out during 2017 confirms this and highlights the different opinions that have existed within the smart meter industry, in India, for some years.

My comparison with the UK, is SMETS1 originally and moving on to SMETS2 eventually.

The " smart " meters that were installed in India originally, are now deemed not to be as " smart " as the Government of India now require. A different specification is required. A new, truly " smart " program has been budgeted for, in which data is properly and securely gathered and utilities charge the right price for the electricity that their customers use.

But all in my opinion, of course.

As I have always understood it, CyanConnode Partners, specifically, have always had a manufacturing business/customers, that they supply and service, outside of their individual business relationships with CyanConnode.

That has been and possibly always will be the case.

And I doubt that they would still be in business at all, if they were not already supplying " ..... Tamper proof, Smart tech and in house produced ..... " meters.

Sorry for the delay. Had a busy day today, with watching the Budget unfold, gardening and doing some pointing. Still, all done now.

The text - £50m and £44m, can be found within the Investor Meet Company/September 2020 presentation/pdf. There are also some Ordered/Delivered/Balance figures shown on the same page, for JVVNL(1), JVVNL(2), TANGEDCO and MPWZ.

My interpretation is that the values relate in part/approximately, to the ordered/delivered/balance figures, of the installations.

Just a rough guide, with what we were told, in September 2020.

You may also want to consider what we were informed of during September, 2020:-

- £6.8 million of orders signed during March 2020, for near term delivery and a further £6.5 million won since March 2020. Approx 80% revenue to be taken during the next 2 years.

Also during September 2020:-

- Orders of £50 million in hand, of which £44 million still to roll-out.
- Moving to Metering as a Service giving recurring revenues over multiple years.
- Infrastructure funds ready to finance large SMaaS deals > I million units.

So while orders are always very welcome, any new, large orders, should/if/when they arrive, will not necessarily impact directly the immediate financials of the Company - because of the length of time these smart meter contracts take to implement. But it may/should affect the share price.

Any new small/medium size contract award, with a 12/18/24 month implementation smart meter contract, could have an additional near term financial contribution to CyanConnode, complementing the " Back-log " of outstanding orders, in the process of being implemented, at the moment. ( £44m.)

And your remark about " ..... that Fence ..... ." No surgical assistance required. It stays in place. It protects against any unwanted intruders.

The four " New Range of Omnimesh Products " seem to have been individually developed for a specific capability and a specific job application. The Omnimesh Integrated Gateway with Cellular and RF Mesh Capability, is designed " ..... for a local population of smart meters."

Whereas " The Omnimesh Long-Range RF Network Interface Card ( LR-RFNIC ) has a range of up to 12km and is designed to provide point-to-point communication in sparsely populated areas, providing resilient, cost effective, RF Mesh coverage, beyond the mainly urban rollouts deployed to date."

So one is designed to service a " ... local population of smart meters " and the other is designed to service " .... point-to-point communication in sparsely populated areas ...... "

So not any " ..... information holes ..... ," at least as far as I am concerned.

And I think that there is something behind it. It is called giving the customer/potential customers, what they want.

I believe that progress had been made prior to Mysore, which was an IPv4 project. And the progress made by CyanConnode since the purchase of Connode advanced Cyan's move into IPv6, has been steady, but significant.

The current Budgets have been set in India, in general and for the smart meter program in particular, by GoI. Other independent smart grid bodies/utilities will have set their budgets also, for the projects they want to undertake.

The next financial year should see the smart grid/smart meter program start to gain momentum. When exactly that will start to happen, remains to be seen.

The added report accompanying the photograph, suggests it is part of the installation for MPWZ, in Ratlam City and posted on 23rd November, 2020.

........ highlighted the challenges of space confinement within electricity meters, during 2018, while at the same time making public the miniaturization of CyanConnodes components and solution to the overall development of the smart meter.

From the report:-

" John Cronin:- Electricity meters are space-constrained, must operate within regulatory power limits and must compete in a competitive, cost sensitive market. Small power-efficient hardware is critical to unlocking smart metering and numerous other markets.

" Standards maturity is the key enabler. They have allowed silicon vendors to build multifunction System on Chips ( SoCs ), which integrate IPv6-supporting, secure, sub-GHz, IEEE 802.15.4 radio transceivers with capable embedded ARM processors. Together with production process improvements, integration has produced smaller, low power devices that weren't possible a year ago

" Once the communication technology is in place, standards develop the market and present new business innovation opportunities. For example, a standards-compliant AMI system can reduce energy use, increase revenues and drive beneficial consumer behaviour by delivering critical peak-pricing tariff information to meters, in real time."

Which I believe the CyanConnode solution has proved to do, in various projects.

Yes, a very interesting video from LSE/Hardman & Co, featuring Milan Radia. And very encouraging that CyanConnode was specifically mentioned, in an interview that included Netflix, DisneyPlus, Bitcoin, Tesla, Microsoft, Internet of Things, etc..

With Milan Radia discussing the ways technology is becoming more a part of everything we do. Whether we realize it, or not.

The Arden Report provides some detail on the progress that CyanConnode has made and is making. India being the more mature market for progress, as far as CyanConnode is concerned, although it has taken some time to develop. But a dialogue between EESL and CyanConnode specifically, as far as we are concerned, is shall we say at this point, interesting.

Also mentioned in the Arden Report, CyanConnode are in " ...... early stage negotiations for potential projects in the UAE." So no early indication of any further news from that region. At present, anyway.

But you mentioned Thailand, tonyj. The Arden Report confirms:-

" CyanConnode is also making positive inroads in Thailand, as it received a follow-on order in March for 206,735 Omnimesh perpetual software licences. This built on the first order the group received from Thailand in December 2019 from MEA, taking the total order value to around $3 million. This order is symbolic of its superior technology, as it was picked after it out performed peers in a competitive selection process and would suggest there are potential further opportunities in Thailand.

Let's hope so.

But if you go back to the original order RNS, from December 30th, 2019, it shows the adaptability of the Omnimesh solutions, for regional, global deployment.

From the December 30th, 2019 RNS:-

" CyanConnode will deploy its Omnimesh technology, which has been integrated into Forth's electricity meters and Oracle's meter date management solution, using the frequency bands of 442 and 447MMHz, allocated to the Thai energy utilities by The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ( NBTC ) of Thailand."

So, a very interesting stage in the development and the building of CyanConnode, I feel.
