Firering Strategic Minerals: From explorer to producer. Watch the video here.
Good morning Vas and no problem.
On listening again to the Vox Markets interview, with Gervais Williams, both Paul Hill, the interviewer from Vox Markets,
and Gervais Williams mention during the interview, about India's ambition to replace 250m existing meters with smart meters and that CyanConnode, at the moment are getting 25% of the installed smart meters at the moment.
Mr. Williams then goes on to indicate that " ...... even if CyanConnode get 10%, they are a complete winner from here .....".
I take that as being 10% of 250m smart meters = 25 million x circa £12 per Omnimesh Module = potentially £300 million, over the circa 10 year life-span of each contract.
This figure may go down, because of volume, or it may go up because certain utilities want/can afford more " ..... bells and whistles ..... " as Simon Smith once put it. So a bespoke offer, you might say.
We then have the potential of smart gas meters, smart water meters, smart street lighting and electric charging points,
all of which will need to be addressed, in the coming years. As well as whatever may be developed, in the meantime.
Heat Pumps come to mind.
So as Gervais Williams from Premier Miton indicates, they are still very upbeat about CyanConnode.
Good Luck Vas and all.

Good afternoon all,
Some information I previously posted during November, 2023, that may be of interest, on the 10 leading Power Companies in Malaysia:-
http://mordorintelligence.com/industry-reports/malaysia-power-market/companies
Good Luck all.
LTI.
...... market opportunity for Pestech, to also supply RF smart meters to TNB - from a report dated 2nd October, 2023:-
http://nst.com.my/business/corporate/2023/10/962189/pestech-wins-tnb-job-supply-smart-meters
Malaysia seems to be busy, smart meter wise. I seem to remember their being a report out last year or maybe the year before, that TNB were looking to install in the region of 9m smart meters, from memory.
So an interesting opportunity, should it arise.
LTI.
..... market opportunity for CyanConnode, hopefully at some time in the future. Iskraemeco also has an interest in Malaysia, through their involvement with TNB, who apparently have a future requirement for RF.
http://iskraemeco.com/news/meeting-customers-smart-meter-demands-and-expanding-production-capacity-in-malaysia/
From the report, dated 28th September, 2023:-
" Looking ahead, TNB ia actively searching for a new advanced metering infrastructure ( AMI ) network, with a specific focus on radio frequency ( RF ) technology. Their aim is to replace the existing system by 2025. Currently, they are exploring new use cases to maximize the available data from the smart meter program, including meter-to-cash, network telemetry, load forecasting, quality of service, customer engagement and demand response."
It is good to know that CyanConnode were showing an interest in Malaysia and other regions, in one of their presentions last year, I seem to remember.
Good Luck all.
LTI.
Good morning Vas,
An excellent appraisal of the possible future potentials for CyanConnode. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Good Luck.
LTI.
You are welcome, Vas.
Gervais Williams and Premier Miton are not everybodies cup of tea. But Paul Hill, from Vox Markets, seemed to have caught the bug also, on CyanConnode and the Companies in general.
And according to Mr. Hill, who introduced Mr. Williams as a " ...... legendary investor ..... ", there was a nice bit of banter, between the two. An interesting conversation/dialog between them both, particularly on CyanConnode, with Gervais Williams being very positive on CyanConnode's future.
Gervais Williams was also very positive on small cap Companies. Especially ones that he/Premier Miton are invested in.
But a nice little tickle upwards in the share price today. Let's see if it sticks tomorrow.
Good Luck Vas.
LTI.
...... opinion on Mergers and Aquisitions, for his Clients, is do not get taken over. The premiums on offer for quality companies, Mr. Gervais explains, are to low, at the moment.
Not that I personally have been waiting for or looking for a take-over.
That will happen, when the time is right.
LTI.
Good afternoon all,
Could this be the reason/one of the reasons why the share-price has shown a little positivity today, so far?
An interesting interview.
Good Luck.
LTI.
............ gives an interview through Vox Markets on various Companies, one of which is CyanConnode.
http://voxmarkets.co.uk/articles/vox-markets-fund-manager-series-gervais-williams-of-premier-miton-d6fb11c/
An interesting interview from Gervais Williams, with an interesting insite into all the Companies, not least, CyanConnode.
Good Luck all.

Good morning tonyj, Vas and all
That's one of the many benefits of RF over Cellular. Its licence and patent free, of additional charges. RF may be more expensive initially to install, but by comparison over a 5 year period, or so, RF is far more cost effective.
I seem to remember that CyanConnode informed us that some utilities that have used CyanConnode's solutions, had re-cooped their original investment in their RF infrastructure, within 2/3 years of completion of their installation.
Vas, thank you for the HES link. It was appreciated.
Good luck all.
LTI.
Good morning Vas and all,
CyanConnode have over the years, been criticized for not giving out enough information on contracts. But as I have pointed out over the years, CyanConnode are no different to other companies.
IntelliSmart and Adani, as you have mentioned Vas, have not revealed who their meter manufacturers/suppliers are. To them, that information at the moment, is confidential.
MonteCarlo may also not provide/manufacture smart meters, although CyanConnode have received two substantial orders from them, during January 2023 and more recently, January 2024. We know where the smart meters come from when CyanConnode receives orders from Genus Power and Schneider Electric, but Infrastructure Companies and the like, seem to be playing their cards very close to their chest, at the moment. And keeping their suppliers as confidential as they can, for as long as they can.
It's good business sense, but frustrating for us. Confidentiality is the key, in my opinion.
Good Luck Vas and all.
LTI.
Good afternoon Vas and all,
Vas, my thought's may also help to answer tonyj's post yesterday and also give a possible connection to the information that you posted from Airtel Business India, that indicated Airtel " ...... says the company has already secured contracts to power close to 50 million smart meters and is looking for further deals."
The latest " NSGM smart meter stats all " report, I posted recently, confirms that out of circa 222m+ smart meters that have been Sanctioned, circa 106m+ have now been Awarded.
Could this mean that Airtel have secured their " ..... close to 50 million smart meters ..... " from within the NSGM Awarded smart meter pot? Or will they be separate/in addition to the NSGM report? The other telecoms companies that you mentioned, also need to be factored into any India Smart Meter Programme/NSGM /RDSS news flow.
Just a thought.
Good Luck Vas, tonyj and all.
LTI.
Good afternoon tonyj and all,
Just to say tonyj, I am not confused by the Airtel India announcement, or the discussion on it. But I am encouraged by CyanConnode's forsite, in the development and launching of their Cellular products in March 2020 and the ongoing development and anticipated roll-out of CyanConnode's Unified Head-End System, during 2024.
Very encouraged indeed.
LTI.
Good morning Vas and all,
A good find Vas, so thank you for sharing.
As Airtel Business ( India ) " ...... has already secured contracts to power close to 50 million smart meters and is looking out for further deals ...... " it was good planning on CyanConnode's part, to develop and launch their Cellular Metering Products back in March 2020.
http://cyanconnode.com/cyanconnode-launches-cellular-metering-products/
In addition, we have been told, CyanConnode also has a Unified Head-End System ( UHES ) being developed for sometime during 2024.
Interesting times I feel, Vas.
LTI.
Good afternoon mcgoof,
If it is the one I am thinking of, you are correct. But if you have a look at the my post from 8th January, 2024, it contains a link to a tweet from CyanConnode India, which gives a bit more relevant information on when the UHES will be ready.
From the tweet:-
" At CyanConnode we are constantly pushing the boundaries. In line with this, we are excited to give you a glimpse into the future, with our upcoming Unified Head-End System ( UHES ), set to roll-out in 2024. This pioneering system will bridge RF and Cellular meters, revolutionizing connectivity and efficiency in rural and semi-urban smart metering."
http://twitter.com/CyanConnode_Ind/status/1743609061839692224
So not ready for deployment as yet, as I understand it from the tweet, but is due for roll-out, during 2024.
I hope this helps.

........ And that's a wrap at #DistribuElec2024.

Ratna Garapati and the team look very satisfied, for a job well done, I am sure.
Good Luck all.

Good Luck all.
LTI.
No problem tonyj.
You may find the website and the explanation I posted at 10:03, may help with the terminology used, by different companies.
LTI.
Good morning Vas and all,
There is a subtle difference to the meaning of " Universal " and " Unified," this difference is highlighted on the following website:-
http://wikidiff.com/unified/universal
- Universal - Common to all members of a group or class.
- Unified - That operates as a single entity.
In relation to CyanConnode's Unified Head-End System ( UHES ) - that can accomodate both RF and Cellular, then personally, I would say the the " That operates as a single entity " applies.
Along with other companies that provide a UHES, also.
Much like there is a difference between Procurement and Purchase. They are two different functions, that require different skill-sets, with different overall goals.
I hope this helps, Vas.
LTI.
Good afternoon Vas and all,
The Strategic Framework Agreement between IntelliSmart and CyanConnode, covers a total of 3m Omnimesh Modules. To-date, IntelliSmart have drawn-down a total of 1.7m Omnimesh Modules, over a five month period, up-to 10th October, 2023.
I might suggest that, as there are only 1.3m Omnimesh Modules left secured under the present Strategic Framework Agreement, that there is the possibility of a potential extention to the existing Agreement with IntelliSmart, or potentially a New Framework Agreement altogether, to cover the potential for ongoing/new, IntelliSmart/CyanConnode smart meter contracts, at some time in the future. Dependant of course, on how quickly the remaining 1.3m Omnimesh Modules are taken up.
The existing SFA is not time-sensitive, as I understand it. Signed in February 2023, it is only numerically limited to 3m Omnimesh Modules.
There is also the possibility, hopefully, of additional " Framework Agreements " with other AMISP's/meter manufacturers, as the Indian Smart Meter Programme progresses, to secure their supply as much as is possible, against potential future contracts.
Just a thought.
