Nice set of numbers; all going in the right direction. I got in to this at 107p so am already up just over 8% - feels like this one has a long way still to grow.

I break even at 80p and have a fairly substantial holding, so this share has finally moved back in to the blue for me. What a great start to the day!

Great day, at last. Hopefully this isn't another false dawn! I'm cautiously optimistic.

FINALLY some good news!!

I've jumped in for a small holding this morning as well, at about 17.5p a share. I like the sound of this and some of the previously-announced stuff they're working on in China. They've done MSK in the Midlands already and it's now running nicely after a shaky start, so they should have learned some of the pitfalls there.

Dare we dream of 70p today?!

Good to see others agreeing with my initial thoughts on this. I guess the only danger is that recession tends to reduce discretionary spending, which would include house refurbishments. I've got a decent holding in SFE and have resisted 'panic selling' thus far. I still think there's good value here and will continue to hold.

It's definitely 'in the drawer' for me. Just going to sit on my holding and hope for the best. Hopefully someone will step in with a bid soon and can buy us all out!

Interesting NED appointment. He was the chap the Treasury approached to manage the Northern Rock crisis (which then became the blueprint for the bank bailouts during the financial crisis). I'm guessing he's a PwC introduction. Definite coup for Cambian, as cost-cutting is what's needed.

Stock back in to freefall today, with no apparent reason behind it. Very odd.

The brakes are off this morning. Much more like it! The sooner we can start moving back towards that previous 80p resistance point, the better.

Further to my post yesterday - another RNS, Griffiths adding yet more shares to his holding. Very interesting!

Personally I don’t think this is going anywhere significant for a while, until we get some news. The real litmus test will be once a) a buyer is identified for the Adults Services business, or b) an approach is made to buy out the whole group. Also worth keeping an eye on Richard Griffiths, who is seemingly building himself a nice stake (see previous RNS’).

Thanks dduck. I have actually emailed Saleem before and had the same experience as you - he's clearly very hands on! My question was more around the general mechanics of what happens to a share price (in any business) when half of the business is sold off to someone else. I understand what would happen were the ENTIRE business to be sold off (or most likely taken private again), but if I'm totally honest I don't really understand what would happen if Cambian suddenly (almost) halved in size due to the sale of the Adult Services business.
