I feel vindicated at having mostly sold out here after the special dividend. Pretty middling set of results, so I'm glad to have ridden this from the 60p days to get out around 225p. I'll watch it closely and may look for reentry at some point, but for the time being I think I'm done with CMBN. It's been one of my better-timed entries and exits, so I will always have a soft spot for this share!

Dipped in to the 230p's this morning and I now regret not adding a few more. Will keep an eye on it today and take another chunk if drops again.

I'm looking at UPGS as a short-term recovery play currently; small holding in SPI (Healthcare) as well since its drop yesterday. I have reduced my position here to take profits and free up some cash. Seems to be a lot of overreaction to news in the market at the moment.

Big volume as well steello - lots of people buying in to this with the view that it's probably oversold. Big market overreaction I'd say.

Indeed. Sitting on a nice little profit here already, but haven't made my mind up on my target exit price yet.

I've been in and out of Spire a couple of times over the last 2 years and have bought back in this morning. I'd call it a 'speculative buy', as I suspect we will see renewed takeover talk with the price dropping this far. Mediclinic (or others) may think they can now get a really good deal here.

Bought at 94p yesterday. Already a tasty rise. Very nice too!

Broadly flat, with interims due tomorrow. Would be nice to see a climb towards 60p on positive news.

Wow, I did not see a fall like this coming here. Really pleased I got out at around 300p, but have been looking for reentry since. Whilst the shares are now oversold in my view, my worry is that there are signs of a broader economic slowdown and this is the kind of business which will struggle in a recession. I may take an initial stake at this level, but wouldn't be surprised to see it go lower still. It's a good, well-run business though so definitely one to keep an eye on.

Bouncing back and forth a bit at the moment, but I'm still seeing this as a very long term hold. I visit the stores occasionally and the quality is still universally high. They're a huge tourist trap here in London.

Agreed, I think this is great news for the business and is a welcome reward for long term holders who have been through the mill over the last couple of years. For my part, I'm sitting on huge gains here so this is just a nice bonus. A blip in the share price after the ex-dividend date won't spook me, as I didn't expect to be around 230p by this point anyway. I'll continue to hold, but will keep a close eye on the next set of results. What I want to see now is evidence that the BOD has learned from the mistakes of the past and can now grow the business in a sustainable fashion.

Big day for CMBN today - the SP has just gone over the IPO listing price for the first time in a long time. A far cry from the days of sub-60p. Well done to all who have held on and are now sitting on big gains.

Knowing a little about the sector already helps. My other half is in Healthcare, so I was peripherally aware of Cambian already. There was a point at which Cambian's property portfolio alone was worth more than the shares were trading at - and that's before one considers their services and the opportunity for future growth. That was a pretty nailed on sign that the share was oversold and was my primary motivation for buying a large stake (relative to the rest of my portfolio). That said, I hadn't expected it to rebound to quite this extent. Even having taken some profits already, I'm sitting on very chunky gains. The other share I've seen do the same of late is GAW. I bought in there at about 490p last summer and it's trading at 1,600p today. In that instance, I saw it tipped in the press, then did my own research and liked what I saw. Some of the other posters on the CMBN board use charts in a very sophisticated way and you would do well to look through some of their posts on that topic.

We're also nearing another big psychological hurdle, which is the 225p price at which the business first floated. I'm sure it's felt like a long road back for those who were in on day one, but they'll be over the moon to see the sp hitting 219p today.

I suspect that if the special dividend is announced in the next couple of weeks, we could see this fly through the roof for a short while, before a big pullback brings it down to a more sensible level again. Agree that the psychological 200p level is a good target for the time being.
