We've been tracking down for a few days now; looks as though we could be back to 140p before too long. Caused at least partly by an absolutely gigantic sell this morning. Some profit taking is inevitable given the rise over the last 6 months or so, but it's surprising to see someone selling off that many shares before the special dividend is announced...

Indeed. We hit a 52-week high of 160p earlier this morning and the price is now wobbling around all over the place between early 150p's and 160p. As I said previously, I think we're in for a bumpy ride as we approach results & the announcement of the special dividend.

I also took some profits this week and will keep the rest in play for the special dividend. An enormous profit in percentage terms, among the better investments I've made. Have a great weekend all!

Wow, a bold prediction, but not impossible given recent price increases. This would be a 1x bagger for me at about 985p, at which point I'd likely sell half of my shares and keep my 'free' shares in play for the dividends. Dare we dream?

As I said further down, I think we'll see quite a bit of volatile price movement until this special dividend is confirmed. This share has pretty much bagged for me now, since my entry point early last year; I need to start making some decisions about whether I take some profits, or continue to let it ride as is. Incidentally, we've hit a 52 week high today. Congratulations to everyone who got in to this share in the grim old days of the profit warnings and has held tight.

Absolutely flying out of the blocks this morning. Can't see any obvious reason for such a large jump up?

The spread on this share is nothing short of scandalous at the moment. 26% at the time of writing!

That's a great question, because my immediate thought was 'well yes, of course you would'. Then I stopped and, like you, thought 'hang on, that sounds way too good to be true!' We'll have to wait and see I guess. Could it be in some way limited to those who held CMBN at the time of the sale to Cygnet? If it's a free for all, we can expect some major SP volatility once it's announced!

Excellent set of results. Looks as though I was (happily) wrong about the good news being priced in as well. Very tempted to sell, but will also continue to hold and see what the next few months have to bring. I think I will however set a stop loss at this point, to ensure that these incredible gains aren't suddenly reversed somehow.

As the sale process kicked off last year and I mentioned UHS/Cygnet as a likely potential buyer, I also suggested that it may trigger a CMA competition inquiry. It turns out that this is exactly what has happened, the CMA has confirmed. The good news is that it appears to only affect Cygnet, rather than involving Cambian as well. As far as we're concerned, the deal is done, we have the money and have settled our debts. Incidentally, we'll be getting the next set of results next Tuesday, which will be very interesting. I suspect any major good news will have been 'priced in' by the big uptick we've seen since the trading update RNS.

Two really insightful posts, thanks guys. It's helpful to have a few other perspectives on this as I'm also in the same boat, whereby I'm now sitting on a massive percentage gain and the temptation to cash out is significant. I don't need to access the money any time soon, so can afford to sit tight and collect the dividends from this share for the time being. The business is moving in the right direction and I agree that whilst the impact of the December RNS was not an immediate one, it has clearly been felt in the last few weeks. Ultimately, none of the fundamentals which led to my initial investment have changed, so I'm reluctant to sell.

Happy New Year all! What on Earth is going on with this share at the moment? We're up over 730p for the day - I remember saying that I thought it was an impressive rise when we hit 600p. When the last message was posted on this board just a couple of weeks ago, we were at 665p! Surely this level of near-constant increase isn't sustainable?

Been keeping an eye on this one for the last year or so and found myself sitting in the Marylebone cafe recently. It inspired me to go back and do some more research on this share and I finally pulled the trigger & bought in yesterday. Fingers crossed for a positive end to the year!
