Yep, very strong morning. Really testing 100p now, hopefully pressing on to that next resistance point of 120p in the next couple of weeks.

Three absolute whopper buys towards the end of yesterday, yet the price is sliding a little on relatively little volume today. Very odd.

The business was heavily tipped by a couple of major newspapers a month or two ago and we saw a big concurrent rise - I'm guessing some of those people are ditching out again and banking their gains. The solid fundamentals and promising new developments remain unchanged in my view, so I'll be holding.

Well these are the things which one must weigh up before deciding whether or not to make an investment. Personally I think that the Children's Services business looks to be in rude health with significant scope for growth, both in occupancy increases and crucially within fostering services. I wouldn't have bought in (and didn't) at the float price, but picked up a sizeable chunk of shares with a b/e of 80p. I'd consider that a bargain for this share.

Look at the competitor comparison charts in the 2015 results presentation document. Cambian is at best third, or in some cases (LD for instance) miles down the pecking order in Adult Services. In Children's Services, it is a clear market leader in its key service lines. This is important to consider when looking at the potential AS business sale. We'll be left with a significantly de-leveraged market leading business.

Thanks for that Borgy - really interesting. On a related note, JP Morgan Cazenove has just set a target price of 119p, which would seem to echo your views on the next resistance point.

Tidy set of interim results - market responding positively.

Great post Borgy and just like that we're testing 91p! I'd love to see this hold at this level now and break that resistance, instead of sliding back in to the mid 80p's again.

Low volume today; most people holding tight for news. Looks like the stage is set for results day tomorrow. I think we'll see a big shift in one direction or the other, depending on the numbers - at least 10-20% up or down, if I were a betting man.

Definitely agree with you on a couple of points there GoldD, particularly your past one - the property value does exceed market cap and liabilities. As a result, we look significantly undervalued here. This is a share which has consistently disappointed to date however. The BOD will need to demonstrate tomorrow that they have learned from the early mistakes and have the business back on track. Only then will we see some of those large increases you're talking about. My guess is that a good set of results will see this absolutely fly tomorrow. Another ropey set of numbers and we'll be back to 50p for a while! Fingers crossed.

Saw this several times on TV during Sky's NFL coverage last night. Great to see some of these products getting such significant prime time exposure.

Price dipping again today. Looks like it could be a bumpy ride before next week's results.

I did wonder if some news is afoot. Could be an asset sale, that they've found a buyer for the Adults Services business, or even a forthcoming takeover bid. It seems odd that after months of stagnation, the share price would leap this high in just a couple of days. As you say, some big buys coming in now, seemingly out of nowhere.
