True but I think the point was that it can encourage more interest on the buy side, thus having a side affect of progressing the share price.

What are you estimating the interim divi to be?

LLOY had a 20% rise last time round for both interim & final.

If that was to be repeated it would put it to around .96p for the interim.

Loftmonkey, no one knows, do they! Otherwise we'd all be rich. One thing we do all know is that with most of these type of investments it is advisable to be prepared to be hold or be accumulating in a timescale measured in years.

I've invested in a company where I believe in the fundamentals. The current potential timescale to production is phenomenally quick, so I think "ever lengthening" isn't really that accurate - the issue that most are having is with the SP. And in turn, the issue of the SP certainly in recent times is due to the corporate side of things - a JV partner that has both helped substantially and then hindered in equal measure. If this year can be navigated and Greatland can come out with some kind of control over this project then I think this can be turned into a giant. But there are no guarantees.

If anyone feels like this is being mismanaged then you just have to sell, take the hit and move on, because if you believe that then you can't possibly also believe that this will succeed. I am still 'glass half full' and standing back with a bit of perspective ( as per the heading ) I still currently believe that SD can deliver. At the end of the day we are all responsible for our own choices.

Q, fair enough - last two years has been difficult, especially when coupled with the previous year where everything went ballistic. I tend to spread my investments around otherwise I think I'd lose my sanity.

I believe most people on the board want this to succeed - we've had a terrible day today but prior to that we had appeared to be turning the corner. However this is a long race and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had just been a little frustrated with people appearing to revel in a bad day.....

It's been like a "Who's who" of Fudsters today. All out in force together, getting giddy and over excited.

One of the facts is that any possible ASX listing won't be until at least the September quarter.

I am hopeful that there will be an updated MRE before then, due in August - probably by Newcrest and if not, unilaterally by GGP. That would hopefully be a different base position from which to launch any funding, if it happens at all.

GGP have not been able to control the narrative today and it has been a difficult few hours. Three months is a long time on AIM, lets hope the dust settles quickly. There should be plenty of other newsflow before then too. Good luck everyone.

This leak has taken 6 months of gains out - because the leaked information has not been able to be put into context because it's all supposed to be confidential.

I suspect the Greatland team are not best pleased as it's difficult to rectify the situation without showing all the other cards in their hand that are not out in the open.

You do realise the reported amount isn't peanuts to keep the lights on - it's a huge amount of equity. This coupled with a debt package - what could this possibly fund.....?

I expect the Greatland board is p!ssed off that some information has been leaked out, but you would expect negotiations to be taking place regarding every possibility of the outcome of the Newmont / Newcrest merger. The reason it may or may not happen will be how Newmont proceed.

Although it's been pretty much on the cards (and clearly still subject to shareholder approval ) it's one less 'unknown' for the market. Shaun can now narrow down the number of scenarios!
