I agree with this. I had a "robust" discussion with someone very early March about this. COVID19 is smaller than any of the masks and air purifiers online will guarantee to trap.

My view then, as it is now is that masks would significantly reduce the expulsion radius, even if it doesn't stop all the virus from becoming temporarily airborne (3 hours to drop to a surface sounds significant to me - particularly if it can survive on air pollution).

I believe that one or two absorbent paper towel layers as a filter in a mask is now recommended for those like me who don't have one yet.

Can't see it happening in England. The fact is that there is STILL no testing of inbound travellers, quarantine, etc, PLUS no requirement to wear face masks, very poor survival rate if hospitalised compared to many other nations.

That is what I decided yesterday. I didn't manage to put it into action until long after opening this morning due to work, but it's now in place, with only small amount left in RDSA. What I'm looking to build (at the very worst time possible) is tax free/low tax rate dividend earnings which pay quarterly. In the mean time happy to pay 7% tax on divis over £2k until I pass the £50k annual threshold.

Hi RR, I don't quite get the math about the options, but I' sure I'm using the wrong formulae to make it balance.

My simple view is that 1M shares at double or triple their current value is a great incentive the management team and saves some of the cash now.

With CV19 like to be a much longer problem to crack, I'm sure they will need enthusiastic shareholders who can weather the challenges.

It depends on which country your are in and the type of account your purchased them in. I'm just writing up a blog post about this, so feel free to ask many any questions if are based in the UK. In short:

In the UK, there are tax free thresholds for dividends and capital gains (CG) taxes - you can Google for them. I believe the current threshold is £2k/year tax free on dividends, and £14k for CG.

Also there are SIPPs, and a variety of ISAs which will help you avoid paying tax altogether. ...

Understood. As far as I can see there is no herd immunity.

Just a couple of small points.

Covid19 immunity is difficult to achieve and longer term efficacy may be an issue (eg more like flu than chickenpox).
The young may not escape unscathed. I spotted an article about effects on children earlier this week. Also, in March, someone posted that both lung scarring (which would be life long) and a separate spike in ME/CFS (which was expected to spike 18 months after recoveries) was expected. Scancell's products may be able to help with these as well.

Good to see that Scancell has a lead - I am hopeful that the clinical trial can proceed, provided patients can be protected from exposure to CV19.

If you play the lottery, my bet is that Scancell will give you a better return.

I'm no good answering questions like this. I think much longer term - 5 to 10 years - it takes longer than that to get tech developments into mainstream use.

Part of me hopes that the share price says low so I can buy more. I have yet to learn how to what I call the rollercoaster... eg buy at the lows and sell at the highs. For me, anything under 18 is accumulation time (share price at which I bought in 2016). I don't get the thought that it has to cost at least 10p to consider buying. Either you have confidence that the management team will perform, or they/products will be gobbled up by a much bigger player.

Clarification: I'd like to know what your parameters are for "crashing".

To me it's very simple. You don't risk what you can't afford to lose. If I understood what you mean by "crashing" I will be better prepared. I marked last night's close at 8.5p. it's at 7.94. It's not like we went over the cliff to me.

Have to duck out again to write stuff, but I will check back.

And yet on another board, I'm pretty sure I read that the firm have a steady stream of income... I'm going to hang on to my few shares and trust there is another higher level as I saw share valuations up to 900 yesterday...
