RE: Media For Scancell Covid 19 Vaccine30 Apr 2020 09:39
Happy to help in any way I can, but I fear my social media profile may prove to be a limiting factor for some MSM... I am supremely confident that Scancell's research will be beneficial in ways we may not yet understand.
My suggestion is to establish some credibility (re covid vaccine project) in reputable journals and then do a broad sweep in popular news sites once some progress is known. My idea is that we need someone who can translate the science into sound bites onto which the best "copywriting" techniques can be applied.
I'll be back later. It was great to see this initiative. Thank you!
Think you will find that they sold 500k and then 1.5m at 8p
Some believe it was a sale of shares bought in addition to their stake in Scancells and ordinary profit taking as an investors.
Some of us wonder where the share price might be if the sale hadn't happened. I worry that it encourages others to do the same. We can't control their behaviour - the sudden rise which prompted it was in relation to the RNS late last week - there are a series of links below.
The TL;DR version: Scancell's research leadership in immuno-therapies are being leveraged in a novel DNA CV19 vaccine project.
Here are some I've saved to a list in chrome to read and understand... I bought in through an EIS in 2016, had to sell, and have recently bought back in.
To be fair, I've thought there must be many other applications before CV19 came along - immune system deficiency is very common... and not just for the aged...
Alanna Shaikh did a great TED talk early on saying CV19 IS the new normal. The possibility that the virus might survive on air pollution may just spur a global response JIT.
As you say, even with a proven vaccine developed, it may be far more effective for longer term immunity if combined with one of Scancell's products - if they could work together. I know Johnson & Johnson have offered to supply a vaccine on a not for profit basis by September...
As a shareholder I would not mind that - far too many people have died through sheer ignorance - and dead people can't buy shares... etc. [my personal view is that each loss is a tragedy which could have been mitigated]
