I'm going to chip in my bit here. I occasionally dip into ADVFN - but there is far too much animosity which gets in the way of any real debate.

We all have our own visions of what we would like Scancell's share price to be before we exit. As C7 says 50p is a good starting point on the journey to £8 plus. We know that the company is headed by a CEO who understands the technology which drives their industry, and they have top notch, motivated researchers. Next year we will see feedback from at least two trials, if not more.

This year's AGM is an opportunity to vote on the resolutions, so if you are planning to do that, check the process on your platform and get your votes into the count on time.

I agree. Collapsing the company, just because they can, doesn't make good business sense to their investors.

As for the 2 year time frame for the CLN, we will have covid vaccine feedback and the first results from at least one of the trials (assuming no significant delays).

I've seen that happen before several times. Trades will be there, then I literally blink and they are gone. I've just put it down to a glitchy platform.

I think that Trinity Delta will do a revised estimate after the OO concludes. Until the trial data comes in, or a deal is announced I don't think anyone here is qualified to put a number on it.

There was a discussion last week on this if you want to trawl back through the threads. From what I can remember, Redmile offered to buy out shareholders less than 2 months before a major deal was announced. RedX shares went up to 95p on the news of the deal.

Could be that holders will opt to ask for a lot of shares at a lower price. And yes, had I been online when the shares nearly touched 21p, I might have sold some and bought the dip.

I don't think many people who are not holding know about Scancell. Until the news of the clinical trials seeps into the market place, that is likely to continue.

My platform's process is to email them. I'm still on the phone trying to get them to read the timetable.

Last time it took several calls/emails to even get the circular sent out long after everyone else received theirs (about a week later).

Thanks Krafy & Ivy for that insight. Moderna dodged the question at the S&T Committee meeting in September. For me, that means there is scope for a DNA based vaccine to overtake the 1st movers.

"The rewards would be beyond most of our comprehension." I agree with this - particularly as we roll into winter and beyond. I'm not sure how we get to the end point for covidity trials, but I'm hoping that all the learning gained from the current contenders is being shared in the scientific community, assuming that is possible.

I don't think that the news is a PR stunt to renew the call to mask, space, steralise - I believe ICU beds are already at 95% occupancy in some places (though I'm not sure how that correlates to the the new England/Wales levels).

In my notes, I have that he said the orderbook was full for the next 2-3 years. I also wrote that that OO CEO said challenge trials rather than specifically 2nd gen vaccines. I made the assumption that it would be the big players going up against each other rather than new entrants.

Given that two of the leading Pharmas have halted their larger trials due to unexplained illness in at least one patient, I think it bodes well for DNA based vaccines in the various pipelines. Last time I checked several months ago, there were less than 25 live projects.

IDK, but I would like to find out how you get on with that. Usually there is a page on their site or a support facility through the platform which tells you how their corporate actions department operates.

In theory, all the platforms should show the amount of the OO 1 for 27 from tomorrow. and you will need to follow the platform's process if you want to apply for additional shares. They should also contact you with the timetable, and distribute the circular. (Also check out the circular on Scancell's website - think it is 4.6 if you want additional shares.)

Also bear in mind that in theory, if you are maxed out on your ISA, you should be able to take your ISA allocation into your trading account if it is on the same platform.

There are some interesting instructions this time - Section 4.6 indicated you should phone it in.

Leas, Your strategy would mean that you can now buy 2x and more (at least for UK stocks which is my main interest).

When do you think the tide will turn for energy stocks given that a 2nd CT for Cv19 has been halted? (J&J are investigating an illness with one patient - they were the ones who pledged to provide the vaccine on a not for profit basis.)

Covid 19 reinfections have been reported since around May/June, but of course many people don't pay attention. Germany's patient zero antibodies was Zero over the summer, but they didn't report if memory T-cells were tested. One theory is that the virus wears down the immune system, so repeat infections are worse. However, another study said more than 60% of reinfections were asymptomatic.

In other news, J&J have halted their CT (stage 3) - they were the ones who pledged to provide the vaccine on a not for profit basis.

I don't subscribe to that service, but I don't see how they can go up from 100% buy and in the top 1%.
