I found the section on the Role of T cells one worth reading twice before reading the rest. I'm sure there are several sections which I'll need to study further, however, I would like to understand if the section entitled "UK capacity to develop and make a COVID-19 vaccine" is still accurate - I'm sure Johnson announced they would be building vaccine manufacturing facilities.

I take your point psychologically. How do you think the small volumes at the time vs bigger volumes now affect the resistance point?

Again over 7BN people on this planet with a vested interested in not contracting Covid19 (again for some). It's not like they already have to have stage 4 untreated melanoma to be admitted to a trial.

In the UK, the fact that those not deemed to be at risk may not get a shot (unless they pay presumably) could create demand to volunteer is the stage one trial goes well. (Not sure that Johnson's statement that only those at risk will get Covid19 shots). That is next year's problem.

TF - not sure if you read my last response re the point about finding volunteers. Given that there are over 7BN people on the planet and most will lose their immunity to Covid19, if they ever had immunity temporarily in the first place, I reckon that many would be willing to volunteer for a safer vaccine with a longer window of immunity.

Even some of the anti-vaxxers may come around as well when Long Covid complications spawn their own rehabilitative industries.

I agree. IDK why either except some article indicated that it might be hard to find patients for trials. . .

Kate Bingham told the Financial Times that vaccinating everyone in the country was “not going to happen”, adding: “We just need to vaccinate everyone at risk.”

Bingham said the task force had put for a business case for the UK to become a global leader in the manufacture of vaccines for the rest of the world. However the Government refuse to ensure all UK residents are safeguarded. I

I have been wondering with your level of access whether you can see the real situation about buys and sells. Several times over the past year, I've noticed my buys tend to be regarded as sells (something with the platform I'm on).

Hi, just in from a rather long day. First thing this morning, my platform had already lowered the price so I put in 3 or 4 buys, which showed up as sells. I was unable to fill orders on any of them completely, the reason I had to put in more than 2 trades.

All I can think of is that the MMs, having stocked up for a spree last week, wanted to get their profit in. I'm not expecting real news until early 2021, just picking up in the dips.

I now have enough to protect my core holding and take profits if needed (and to optimise my income/CG allowances as regard tax liabilities). I'm expecting a change in the rules to hit ahead of 1/1/21.

Just be aware that some of the early "sells" are buys. I won't tell you which are mine (smiley face)

Thanks TF, I don't think the point is relevant. They don't give the vaccine to those who they know are already infected.

If the point is that more people volunteer when the perceive a threat to their own health (/someone else's health), and therefore sign up for a trial as a possible insurance policy, fair enough.
