Be interesting to see if Veoneer issue the chart update to have a look at what has transpired.

Personally I had Geely or Volvo in my mind and had an idea of the 1-23 customers they were. Also will be interesting to see how the bid/tech/awarded list changes.

JC, you're on a roll tonight! Good stuff. SEYE are believed to be working with Chery in China as their first win. Chery and JLR have had a joint venture in China for several years now so thats probably their route in. NIO intend an IPO which would value them at 15bn and they make electric cars. Seen as a challenger to Tesla whom the head of NIO hates having had a few words with Elon. Cant see any link with SEYE yet.

Anyway it got me thinking really is it something SEE would want - certainly not in sales and is this type of testing activity too risky for a reputation? I don't know?

It could be like the Tesla quandary - I know some on here think it would be great to get Tesla whereas some suggest do not touch them with a bargepole. Again not great volumes and the way they beta test software in real time may be a good thing that SEE don't go near them. Also GM hate Tesla so wouldn't want to upset our partner?

Hopefully we will get a bit of good news tomorrow and the pressure is on Veoneer to hit the ground running as their 3 major stockholders - Cevian Capital, Alecta and AMF, have each individually agreed with Autoliv and Veoneer to remain as major owners of Veoneer for a period of time after the spin-off.

Under each of the agreements, the three shareholders, who together represent more than 20% of Autoliv’s outstanding shares, have each committed to hold more than 80% of the shares of Veoneer it receives in the spin-off, for a period of nine months after the spin-off.

Halfords dont sell it until December. This sounds like Guardian as it will sit on the dash and buzz and at the same time contact a remote monitoring station.

Maps, I have a suspicion that 2 of the 4 left at tech qualification in May are Geely and Volvo. Of course one of the japanese oems would be a massive jump forward, and If i was to bet I'd say subaru or Toyota.

The issue of ignoring blatent lies on this bb is an interesting one. If someone posts research and he responds with drivel do you ignore and let him spout his mantra. That deters people from posting anything. Say nothing and its his bb. Perhaps that is the solution. He can talk to himself.

Just as a reminder - this is a few snippets from the RNS when SEE signed an exclusive agreement with Progress Rail. Note the tone used - "minimum growth commitments" + "see large market opportunity to enter the commercial ramp phase". Personally I think it's only a matter of time and perhaps a short time too. A CLASS 1 rail company has been mentioned in some of the interviews given by Paul. (our resident soldout was very happy about this)

For those obsessed with legislation - it may or may not happen - ALL the OEM's are firing on full steam ahead for the 5 stars that they all want. Either they have ALL got it wrong OR it would be a brave technical director to say "well it probably won't be legislated so lets not bother"
Better tell them to go with option 2 cause they wont sell any cars otherwise - according to some.

PS: Love the way someone changed the thread title :) seems apt!
