Apologies if this has been posted before - not sure - but well worth a read on how well Xilinx are doing with Tier1's and OEM's - (for new BB readers) SEE's chip maker is Xilinx and several SEE senior staff worked for them at high levels.

Seeingtom - Nobody is saying 40p is a price that the company is worth - it's worth a lot more but PI's won't have a real choice in the matter if that is what is offered - and the II's and others think they are getting a good return for their money.

For some PI's x10 their investment could be life changing - I don't have a problem people selling if they need or want to for personal or family reasons or are at an age where they can enjoy the benefits that will provide.

Not sure the comparison of selling at 40p compares to Moby Dick selling at 7p then telling everyone he will wait until 5p to get back in, then posting the same posts and youtube video's several times thinking that'll make a difference.

I'm still confused as to whether or not Alex wants us to buy Denso, Halfords or Whalemeat shares.

Ken did say that if a sale was forthcoming then the buyer would have to pay full value for the whole of the business. To be honest a spin off would complicate things quite a bit as currently each area of the businesse feeds off the others and learns all sorts of technical improvements.
The depth of knowledge being gained everyday from fleet, off road is helping to improve auto algorithms which is SEE's great advantage over all other competitors. It really points to all or nothing in terms of a sale.
We know the clock is ticking and major players need to assess what SEE is worth to them or alternatively what SEE is worth if a competitor should buy SEE.....that is a an interesting position for SEE to be in.

Ron15, I agree - if there is no mention of rail or aviation and the report is split into 2 parts then what valuation when we secure contracts for both these areas - and SEE execs have alluded to both over the past few months - if these are released then perhaps all the brokers will need to re-do their thinking.

From the sound of things Cenkos have moved into the bullish side - whilst their 19p is light they are saying that most of their projections are underestimated. Surprised CG haven't moved even though they are currently above Cenkos at present.
More fleet, aero a big rail to come will change things, looking good.

Sgreen, for xilinx i had cash and realisable cash at about 1.5-2bn and from what i read half was usable in USA and half outside. Something to do with taxation. So they as you say would have to use cheap financing for a full cash deal. Which of course they could do. Its a logical deal but as curiouser says Intel/Mobi is a good group fit too. ...interesting times ahead.

Just a thought.... Xilinx are keen to collaborate in such a way as they see this potentially cementing a route to Daimler cars for their chips. Don't forget Geely own a part of Daimler so xilinx could talk to them as well at some point. So yes xilinx do our chip and according to cenkos there could be many millions employed going forward. Question is would xilinx buy SEE to protect future sales (and make a shedload of money) or risk Intel buying see and switching all chips to intel chips. Remember Intel bought Altera for 15bn in 2015 and they specialize in fpga chips which is xilinx type. Having said that xilinx have brought out the speediest of speedy chips recently with reduced heat so at present i think xilinx are in the frame. But do they have the cash? Intel have loads.....

Guys - this is rich coming from me but can we just all ignore the *$%& He accuses others of not having knowledge and doesn't know who SEE brokers are. SEYE are also claiming to have their kit in a car launched in Sept 2017 which was their first they say... kinda quiet... perhaps the car OEM in question wants to play down who's kit they are using until they sign up with SEE?
