SDS delivered today after awful York. Recovered all SDS's losses incurred after his fluke win at York with the second race at Leic on Outrank with my betting strategy and ended with 11 points profit on the day and 1 point loss to carry forward and recover. The link I posted yesterday concerning statistics together with my spreadsheet on William Tristen- Davies helped me pinpoint Shady Mc Coy which Betfair paid at 4.5. BTW have been shorting the Ftse so all in all one of my better periods. Just hope it continues.Now waiting for Cathy Gowan to come good and recover my losses on her to date which are mounting but still manageable. Will post some tips if any come to light. BTW is it possible to do tote place only yankees and super yankees? Some of my fun bets and indeed quite a few of SDS'S rides only get placed like Captain Swift 8/1 today and my fun name bets the 2 Ingleby's and Rebel Surge which I only do to win.

I forgot to say that the 3 losers out of 3 on the 18 August were followed 3 races later with a 50/1 winner. Then 15 consecutive losers which is where we are at now, but that was York and 6 of those losers were at odds of 20/1 or more and the others much longer odds than most of his winners which are mainly between evens and 6/1 with the occasional bigger priced winner.

SDS is overdue for a win so all his rides at Leicester on Monday recover previous lost bet on next bet plus 1 point stop at winner. eg 17.25 GRANDVIK 1 POINT WIN if it loses then stake on 17.55 OUTRANK =1 point plus (1 point previously lost/ 5). Present odds 5/1. if 4/1 tomorrow if top up required 1 point /4 if that loses too then next stake =1 point plus (2 points and the top up divided by 12) on CAPTAIN SWIFT, presently 12/1 ETC ETC. I only do win on all odds under 20/1 otherwise it gets too expensive. All odds of 20/1 and over are not included but bet on separately ew.If one is not prepared to carry on to his next meeting it makes sense to stop at winner. At Newcastle on the 25 JUNE one would have bagged 1.25 points but missed out on a second win of 6.5 and on the 26 June at Newc would have bagged 1.5 but missed out on a second win of 16/1. on the 27 at Newcastle he had 5 losers but a winner in the last race at 1.88. With recovery of losers net profit on the day 1.88. Without it loss of 3.12 points using level stakes. Conversely at Donc on 3 July he bagged 1.25 in the first race followed by 3 losers but at Hayd on the 4 July he bagged a 12/1 followed by a 5.5. Leicester is not a bad course for him he bagged 3 out of 4 on the 16 JULY, 1 out of 3 on the 22 July, 3 out of 3 on the 29 July BUT 6 out of 6 losers on the 9 August during a purple patch of 18 consecutive losers, 3 of them were 2nds of which one was odds on. Must have been time of the month ha ha. he also had 3 out of 3 losers on the 18 August but all 3 were slightly longer odds but not so the 6 out of 6. William Tristen -Davies is overdue for a win if one discounts all his long odds losers and only has 1 ride at Leicester SHADY Mc COY 4/1 in the 19.55. Statistically jockey one rides show only 9% success but the biggest profit this season of over £800. Has to be the odds. I recall Harry tipped Cathy Gannon when she had 1 ride and it won at 10/1.GLA

Harry, why is it that when a horse breaks a leg it has to be put down? I understand Kauto's Star was put down recently after an accident.

pps Take a look at horse racing under Gamblers in the link in my previous post. I might just change my mind on multiples and follow Harry and KNIGELK. I was initially put off them in my teens when a school friend used to do dozens of penny (old pence) yankees and super yankees on a Saturday afternoon in a smoke filled, seedy,smelly betting office just opposite to our local pub. Oh happy days. Knigelk, a nightmare for the back room boy bet settlers and for him in those days on the very odd occasion that one came up. I fared better doing 2nd and third favorites or horse names I took a fancy to at odds of 4 to 6 to one. Betting offices have since changed and are more user friendly, some even with armchairs and of course tv overage rather than the old tannoy, if available, and of course no smoke and not having to wait too long for a winning bet to be settled.

PS it is interesting to note that the statistics on trainers in the link in my previous post do not include trainers such as Ellison, Gosden, Sir Mark Prescott, M Johnson but the top man is Harry's favorite Fahey. Also top jockeys don't include my man de Souza who is having a blinder of a season. Using a share trading strategy of only using current history for establishing support and resistance perhaps one should apply same principle to this. I am constantly monitoring selected jockey's performances over the last few months which led me to conclude York was not a good course for SDS. Having concluded that, I may have missed SDS's African Queen at 100/1 had it not been for Harry. No system is fool proof but can give one an edge. Out of 31 mounts at York since 24 June SDS had one totally unexpected fluke winner. Take that out and SDS is a total loser at York.

missed P Makin's 33/1 winner this afternoon as he had a terrible run of 15 rides no winners and my stop loss kicked in.Should have restarted with his evens winner yesterday but overlooked it. Can't win em all! Will have to cut down on the number of Jockeys and trainers to track. Acker bad luck with SDS today but York is not a good course for him. On the plus side he has now gone 15 rides without a winner all at York, 20 if one ignores the 50/1sp fluke winner so he IS due another winner anytime now. I colour his losing runs in purple on my spreadsheet. He usually has a winner within one or two races at the end of a purple patch of rides and courses and since 24 June apart from this latest run his longest losing runs have been 18 and 15 rides. At the end of the 15 run he had an 11/1 winner.At the end of the 18 run it was a 3.5 winner but followed them up with more intermittent winners. In 31 rides at York hes had the one fluke winner. Only 2 placed at 25/1 and 33/1 and the 50/1SP winner at odds of 20/1 or over since 24 JUNE. Majority of wins are at prices of evens to 6/1. Hope this helps. GLA

betfair paid 5th at 1/4 on SDS's Pearl Castle and Speculative Bid recently to my surprise. Just checked my activity and got 10/1 on your detorri tip yesterday. Fergals had a good day at chester and SDS drew another blank at York but afternoon's racing sweetened by Litigant at 40/1. Just need Cathy at Bath to deliver a £100 win bet to round the day off.

BACK 2 of M Johnson's nags and his third the outsider wins it at 28/1. It's a funny ole game!

JUST spotted AL as fun bet in York 2.35 7/1 so many good horses at York makes picking winners very difficult. KNIGELK long odds LITIGANT York 15.45 40/1.

Acker SDS does not have a good record at York AND apart from the 100/1 fluke that is proving to be the case again. I'm still doing him but with reduced stakes not my normal £10 plus recovery except on the 2 Harry has selected. Better to go with Detorri's mounts all good odds. GL anyway.

Thanks Harry for the 8/1 winner at York yesterday. I have been monitoring Dettori and may add him to my list. He had a good Goodwood and does have some good priced winners not all short priced favorites. He's had 1 winner at York each day so far so will definitely do your choice plus the other two rides. Had 2 good priced fun bets that came in Libran at 9/1 (born in October) and Al's Memory 12/1 (late brother Alan). Didn't win the last time I posted it so didn't bother posting yesterday. York is hard so reduced my stakes on SDS £10 wins to £1 wins, except of course the really long prices to £1ew and the ones you selected which is the usual £10 plus recovery and will do so again today.Will persevere with Cathy to day especially at Bath 'cause I think you said that's her fav course.
