TWD is due another win but over the last month no horse 20/1 or over has won for him. However he is riding for his father and had an 18/1 winner for him on the 29 july, Sands of Fortune and SDS did have that 50/1sp against past performance beating Golden Horn of all horses so anything is possible.Prior to that TWD won for his father on Golden Jubilee at 8/1on the 23 july I believe you may have tipped it BUT came 5/7 on the same horse at 10/1 on the 11 August. on the 24 july he came 4/8 on Ransom note at 33/1. As racing can be unpredictable and you have tipped it I will have a punt. GLA.

KNIGELK if you are looking for long odds bets you could do no better than Jack Garrity. In the last month he has had 3 rides at 100/1 one of which was a payable 3rd making it a 19/1 winner and net point profit of 15 points at those odds on the 3 rides. He has also had 3 winners at 12/1, 18/1 and 14/1 together with 6 payable placed mounts at 11/1 and over, one of which was 28/1 making it a 6/1 winner. The net profit is 18.75 points for place money alone but if one strips out the 19 points from the 100/1 one has break even so one could forget about ew and go for 2 points win instead of 1 point ew. That produces a net profit of 56 points from just 3 winners. I forget about his mounts priced at 10/1 or less as the losers eat away all the profits on the winners on a level stake. Maybe keep ew for odds of 40/1 or more, just in case. BTW SDS has a 100/1 today 15.40 York Canny Kool BUT remember apart from African Queen all mounts apart from one at odds of 20/1 or more have not achieved a payable place since 24 June. Just to remind everyone past performance may not be repeated. GLA.

Harry has put me onto Catherine Gannon. Over the last month she has had a good record which included 20/1, 10/1 and 7/1 winners with 3 other winners at lower odds. She also scored 2 good priced payable places of 33/1 and 25/1. The former Harry tipped today which Betfair paid £9.25 to a £1ew bet, equivalent to a 7/1 winner.According to my spreadsheet she maybe due another win soon. Tomorrow she has 2 rides at Salis. BITTER ORANGE in the 18.05 at 16/1 and BERBECULA in the 20.05 8/1. on level stakes in the past month she shows a profit of 29.75 points so for £10 win only stakes that's £297.50. Using my staking strategy winning £100 per winning ride and recovery of past losing stakes the profit is £600 with maximum fund required to cover the stakes £83.91. Presently has 3 losing win bets with stakes to recover £24.67. I have therefore placed a win bet of £7.79 on Bitter orange at 16/1 and £12.50 win on Berbecula at 8/1. If Bitter Orange does not win then a top up win bet on Berbecula will be required, which at present would be £6.56 win at 8/1. I do separate £1ew bets on rides where the odds are 20/1 and over. If the losing run continues then the fund required will obviously increase and could reach much more than the £83 required in the last month. On winning £10 per winning bet the fund required was only £8.30 for winnings of £60. Always bet within your means and with money you can afford to lose, which with some Fitbug investors runs into thousands, so even the £100 win per bet is chicken feed. GLA

Knigelk and Acker more luck than judgement. It's my one and only 100/1 winner in 50 years of betting and probably my last and I owe it all to Harry. Since being married, for years, I have only bet on the Derby and Grand National each year apart from going to Epsom, the local course, for a fun day's racing, weather permitting. not even Cheltenham or the other annual special meetings and classics that is until Harry rekindled my interest in the gee gees. Won't make a fortune but there is a real buzz to having winners at big odds and for SDS to win when least expecting it like his recent 16/1 winner, Harry's recent 22/1 and some of my fun name bet winners that studying form can never select. 2 more winners for SDS at Ripon yesterday albeit at modest prices.Was going to give YORK a miss as SDS had a bad run on his last 2 visits no wins at all and there are so many good horses it makes things difficult.However as Harry has tipped SHORE STEP have changed my mind. Also SDS has a good record of 16/1 chances so have added KENTUCKY CONNECTION in the14.30 YORK. I like GLENEAGLES apart from GOLDEN HORN same as Harry but also GREAT GATSBY and TIME TEST test if there are non runners. so hard. will do a £1 bet ew on Arabian Queen the SDS mount at 100/1. you never know!!!!! Gone for STORM THE STARS 7/2 in the 15.05 YORK as backed him in DERBY in addition to GOLDEN HORN and Harry likes him too . Not doing Highly Sprung in the 16.55 the SDS mount unless his price drops below 20/1 so finally DARK DEFENDER the P Makin/K dagleash combo in the 16.55 YORK 12/1. BTW RAVENHOE in the 18.10 at Leic was paying a massive £14.75 cash out to a £10 bet just before the race. That's a guaranteed 47.5% gain or £475 to a £1K bet .Didn't realise there had been a jockey change and SDS was not on board otherwise would have cashed it in. If a £1K bet would definitely have cashed it in SDS on board or not!! I cashed in a bet on Federer in 2 stages before the WiMBLEDON final for a handsome profit.GLA

good morning harry, just the usual level stake of £10 on bonheur but it rounded off a very good day for me, thanks. Betfair paid 6/1 even though it was 9/2 when placed late at 18.50 15 mins before the off. Funny thing with SDS recently a lot of money going on him before the off bringing the odds down that's why I place the £10 level bet on each of his horses the night before except when the odds are 20/1 or greater 'cause he never has winners at those prices.As you know I usually just go for win not ew. Have stopped doing his 20/1 plus at £1 ew as it does not pay. One thing I've noticed with Betfair cash out the £10 bets placed the night before invariably pay in excess of the £10 before the race giving very good percentage gains with no loss if cashed in and bird in the strand profit.Some of the gains % wise are truly amazing, Even Rosy Morning was paying 11.48 placed at 5/4 this morning at 9.12 at one stage before the off. Doesn't compare with the 2.25 incl stake odds that Betfair paid as it won but cashing in at these %'s is risk free profit. I have started to keep a record as the prices do fluctuate quite a bit and not all cash in's pay in excess of the £10 before the off only the ones that have been backed and the odds are shorter. If it works out paper trading I may up the stakes to £1k a pop and cash in regardless.14.8% =£148 I'd be quite happy with that return if I was day trading a share. One of the bets had a cash in value of over £14 at one stage before the off. Can't remember which horse but that's a massive 40% plus. I didn't cash in and the horse lost. Must get to bed. gla

This is becoming one of the best days ever with SDS chalking up two winners for starters at chelmsford not great odds but winners just the same. With Harry's 14/1 and the fun bet at 25/1 it outdoes a day at Epsom a few years back when the wife and i backed every winner including the Derby winner Benny the dip.

That man Harry does it again 14/1 backed by a 4/1 and 2/1. Well done Harry. I had Harry Speed as well as a fun name bet at 25/1. I missed Storming Harry the other day at 16/1. It's days like these that I regret not doing multiples.gla for the rest of the evening

Good morning all. SDS continues to deliver. another winner yesterday divine. It really does pay to place bets the previous evening. I got 7/1 but he was backed down to 2/1 on the day. Unfortunately rule 20 applied so 20p was deducted but still a handsome win. Similarly the 16/1 was 20/1 the previous evening but I didn't take it as SDS does not have winners at odds of 20/1 or over but has a good record at 16/1. Twisten- Davies who Harry put me onto is overdue for another win. Again ignore odds of 20/1 and over, they never seem to win maybe a £1ew just in case same with SDS but they never win or even get placed for a payout. SDS has only had one payable place at odds of 25/1 since 24 June 2015 and he has had 25 other rides at prices of 20/1 or over in that time so not worth backing long term despite an occasional success. 19.55 chelms ILLYA KURYAKIN 5/2 20.25 DANZOE 8/1 and of course SDS's mounts

Busy with work again but had a fun punt on Osgood which came off 20/1. Didn't post it as thought it had no chance. Peter Osgood was the king of the King's Road at Chelsea in the late 60's early 70's.
