EMBLAZE 1 I agree with you about tipsters including Harry. His 10/1 winner was not his selection for the day but part of his invaluable preamble. I did it nonetheless. The main thing about staying ahead of this game is to cut out or reduce the losers. Level stakes are conservative and will probably keep one out of financial trouble but the losers really cut into profits even for the most successful, jockeys, trainers or tipsters. Thats why I introduced my loss recovery with a stop loss staking policy. What you say makes sense about filtering the tips. Even Harry tips on the basis ofpersonal relationships like baby sitting a jockey when they were young so tend to ignore them.gla

Nigel my minimum stake is £1 ew. My other half tells me she picked up £3 yesterday from shoppers at Tescos leaving them in the trolleys because it was raining and couldn't be bothered to take 'em back to retrieve them. The £3 helped pay for the cat's litter. Every little bit helps! What's that saying look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves? Pity about Cathy's rides yesterday but one only needs 1 in 25 winners at those odds to pay off to break even.GL

Well done Harry, another 10/1 winner. Forget strategies, studying form. The best kind is inside information such that Harry provides with big prices not tips that are favorites at low prices, anyone can go along with the herd and do that. Very sceptical about tipping services, other than Harry of course. I always google them for review to see if they are any good.Only ever paid for tips once, way back when. Past results were super impressive only 3 horses tipped each Saturday with claimed winners at 10/1, 5/1 etc.I took out a trial and first week produced 3 winners but at very short odds all below 4/1, one was odds on.Never occurred again not one winner and all very low odds. I even screwed up on the multiplies stake wagered and the bookie scaled down the winnings in that first week.Anyway, have an open mind and will paper trade as Harry suggests,but laying bets at up to 4/1 sounds dangerous as one would need 5 winners to each 4/1 that actuaaly won and 4 for every 3/1 etc. I know Harry laid a 3/1 shot to lose with a 1k bet but he had 1st hand inside knowledge.GLA

Anyone got Betfair shares? They went up 20.44% today. Out of interest Rocks of BOLINSKI was paying a massive £14.15 cash out to a £10 bet before the off. That's £415 for a £1k bet overnight and beats Betfair's impressive 20.44% increase today. Food for thought. anyone can one make a £1k bet online? May have to phone Betfair.

Harry I saw your comment regarding 'heavy' but I was not referring to the going. The query was about a 'heavy' 1k bet on line and whether it would be rejected and have to be placed over the telephone.

Correction LING 17.25 Horses name is INCANTARE also Cathy has another runner at Kempton which I missed LIBERTY RULES IN THE 20.55 @ 50/1. My record of her rides which is limited shows she does not win on outsiders although she has had a 20/1 winner in the last month and I am reminded of SDS'S big winner at YORK so 'you never know'. usual backing of SDS rides today at Catt: using my staking recovery of losses strategy. Word of warning. Only good if you are able to stop at winner and restart or top up in losing run. Last night I got the 6/1 winner but with only a £10 stake as out dining with my youngest daughter so not able to top up. So also have losers which should have been recovered yesterday to include today. Jockey one rides today only 9% success but of all strategies tried and tested shows biggest profit of over £800. I am doing all her rides in any case within the betting strategy I use for all SDS rides but in her case it is based on winning £100 per winner as she does not have as many rides as SDS. Just wish I had stuck to the plan yesterday and not bottled out and reduced the stakes as she did come good with the very nag Harry pinpointed. Thank you so much Harry for giving me that extra confidence not to completely bottle out. Cathy came good as you said she would in her second race. Should have stayed in for the complete recovery of all losers plus the £100 but happy with complete recovery and the £50. Fashional spirit has been over £18 cash out but back to £17 odd at the moment.

craigawilde only monitoring my lowish bets at the moment would not risk £1k unless I was sure of the concept. Not worth cashing in with low stakes better to let em ride. At the moment fashionable spirit is jumping all over the place has been as high as £2.90 profit dropping to .32p profit back up to £2 all over the place. Never done a £1k bet online or ever. Its possible it would not be accepted and would have to place it by telephone. Perhaps Harry could throw some light on heavy bets as he laid a horse to lose with a £1K bet

HARRY my first bet of £13.68 on SDS's first ride today is showing a cash out value of £16.08 a profit of £2.44 or 17.89% overnight. At 1K that would be a profit of £179. Have you ever considered this almost risk free type of bet? I think the key is to pick a horse the night before at odds that are expected to shorten the next day and cash in before the race starts.What do you think?

have chickened out on Cathy this afternoon and reduced stakes to recover losses to date plus £50 instead of £100 as the stakes at these lower odds increase somewhat and if she continues her losing run the bank required to continue may get silly. If I was loaded, no problem, just continue until she has a winner 'cause she will have one eventually. What's the saying money makes money. Good afternoon Harry, so to win the placepot one needs placed horses in each of the first six races. If one leg fails does the whole bet fail? Same for the quadpot? i.e they are accumulators? also can one do just a place bet on the tote without the win part?

Harry, Nigel et all I have just noticed on sky results that there are placepot and quadpot pools with what seems like potential jackpot winnings. Can anyone explain what they are. Also can one do place only tote multiple bets as the losing win bet of an ew substantially reduces any profits?
