definitely last post this afternoon. my £10 wager last night on miniaturist at 10/1 in the 2.00 at York just showed a cash in value of £10 now and £3.40 if the bet wins. If it was a £1k bet that's a risk free bet to win £340. Its now showing only £11.11 with no further money. On a £1k bet that's £111 or 11.1% overnight.No doubt it will increase nearer 2p.m as more money is put on popular SDS. At £1k bet I would cash it in for a nice profit. now increased to 11.59 thats 15.9% at 13.40. btw the biggest offer on another bet was nearly 50% that's £500 overnight almost risk free.

Knigelk just this last post for now then I must address my tax return for no need to monitor SDS today as no recovery of previous losers to make until after York has finished. One cannot blame Harry should they lose for whatever reason, which could be jockey error, bad luck beaten by a nose short head etc or just over confidencee by the owner,trainer or jockey in the nag concerned. thomas 22 in his earlier posts advised us that gambling allegedly ruined him and I'm sure Harry will confirm this.

SDS at York today. 6 rides all long prices, no favorites, shortest odds at last night's prices when bets were placed 8/1, longest 14/1. York is a very bad course for him. Since 24 June he has had 31 rides there and only 1 winner, albeit 100/1 previous night's odds, 50/1 sp. I am therefore restricting my stakes to my standard £10 wins, losing stakes to recover amount to £34.84 from yesterday not included. My losing bets on him at the moment are £34.84 after he had that 8/1 winner yesterday when all previous losing bets were recovered and £80 added to my betting bank for him. If all today's wagers lose then the losing bets will increase to £94.84 to carry forward to recover at Brighton tomorrow which is a much better course for him.Should only the shortest price horse win at 8/1 then I will be £30 in profit and only £34.84 to recover at Brighton. Should only a 14/1 win I would be £90 up on the day with £34.84 to recover. All within my risk assessment,stop loss policy and able to afford to lose comfort zone.btw since 24 June he has had 9 rides at Brighton with 2 winners 1 odds on the other 5/1 sp. All losing bets at Brighton fully recovered either at Brighton or later under my recovery of losers staking policy.No more posts today as I have work work to do today, my 2014/15 tax return!! gla.

Final thoughts on Thomas22. Should he rear his face on this board again, A simple 'ignore him he is an embittered past loser who was unable to control his gambling' should be posted by whoever spots him first followed by all the regulars confirming it with a simple 'I am a regular on this board and I agree, ignore him'. With no feed back he might just go away.

Emblaze1 you said you are new to this game. Word of advice there is no such thing as a 'dead cert' and a losing run will end eventually but one should not follow it blindly and cut losses if it ain't working AND NEVER chase losses. Neesan at Barings and that loser Thomas 22 are prime examples of what chasing losses or continuing to lose can do. Hence cutting Cathy Gowan free and not being afraid to take a loss. That decision proved the right one to take as she has now gone 27 rides without a winner. A few payable places at good odds but I don't do ew unless the odds are 20/1 or over and reduce my standard bet stake from £10 to £1ew or just £2 win. Also, if you have a winning strategy stick to it but review it constantly especially if current results are not performing or it requires tweeking. SDS had a losing streak of 18 recently, so I only do standard size bets with no recovery of losers included when the odds are under 3/1. Also I exclude all odds of 20/1 or over from the strategy and do them singly outside the strategy as above.Also I had initially decided to give SDS a miss at York recently but Harry changed my mind. If I had not remained flexible I would have missed the 100/1 albeit at only £1ew not £2win or £10 win. I also reverted to standard size £10 win bets, no recovery of losing bets included during the whole of york which proved to be the correct decision as his only winner was the 100/1 and then included all the losing bets in the recovery strategy once york was over. I see that you are at work during the weekdays so my recovery of losing bets strategy would not suit you as one has to monitor the bets live rather like day trading the stock market. gl today.

I said I would reply to his nonsense just the once and I have already done that and will keep to it, despite his calling me a fool.One of the ways of dealing with my badly behaved toddler children was simply to ignore them. By my reckoning despite the horses that lost yesterday, on level stakes you were 5 points in profit on your tips alone (10 tips 1 non runner 2 winners @ odds of 10/1 and 3/1. If one adds in my two winning tips @ 10/1 and 11/10 that makes it 16.1 points ahead. If one takes only your 3 SELECTIONS then you would be 8 points in profit plus 11.1 making a total of 19.1. All calculations based on Betfair final best odds and on win only stakes. The actual points profit would have been more because like me I suspect that you place most of your wagers the night before, usually at better odds. I have excluded SDS's second winner @ 8/1 as that is not a tip but part of my strategy of following SDS which is a completely different ball game but if one were following it that would make 27.1 points profit on the day with 3.48 points SDS losers to carry forward and recover from today's racing. Harry I'm working on a strategy for longer priced odds of 8/1 and over. Do you keep a record of your tips and if so could you provide a list of those that were 8/1 and over, winners and losers? I've tried scrolling back through your posts but the latest page keeps coming up. I've emailed lse but have not heard from them yet.

BTW camkite what are your normal stakes wagered? £ 140 ew seems an odd amount? how much did you have on harry’s other tips? Always interested in other’s staking policies.

thomas 22 if one has a 100/1 winner one can afford to have 100 losers to break even, a 40/1 winner means forty losers and a 10/1 winner mean 10 losers using level stakes. Factor in recovery of losers into the stakes and potentially one will never lose. Do the maths its not rocket science. Now go to some other board with your sardonic comments.

thomas22 if you are still observing to make a point its the odds of the winners that counts not the percentage of winners to tips.

sds does get more than 1 winner at a meeting occassionally but not that often so one could adopt the strategy of stop at winner. However in June AT nEWC one would have missed out on a 16/1 winner. gla

one more winner for SDS yesterday. I was late placing the bet and no top up bet due to computer problems and got 7/1 but got paid 8/1 under Betfair's best odds policy. Too many SDS rides today at 2 meetings. Harry how much do jockeys get paid per ride and do they get performance bonuses?

You appear to be have been an irresponsible loser in the past who could not manage your 'gambling habit' and as Harry has previously suggested you are in need of counselling. If you had been able to bet competently but more importantly, responsibly within your means with money you could afford to lose you would not have ended up as the loser you appear to have been and still are. Like alcoholics should stay away from drink you ought to stay away from betting and stay away from this board as you are not welcome. Finally for your information SDS and Cathy Gannon are not tips, as they are not based on form but are merely the application of various betting strategies I am developing . Following Cathy proved to be a loser and has been discontinued showing a net loss of £30 (recoverable losses of £180 less winnings of £150 from 2 winners). SDS on the other hand has been extremely profitable using my strategies despite the number of losers that he has, because all my strategies involve recovery of the losing wagers. 20york. It was my father that got me interested in horse betting. He never went to the bookies but had a telephone account and would spend Saturday afternoon at home in front of the telly placing his bets. Nothing heavy just a few shillings. He also got me interested in heavyweight boxing. We used to get up in the early hours of the morning to listen to the fights live from the states on the radio. Now its all sky and haven't seen a live heavyweight fight for years. One of last one was when Ali beat Foreman, live at the Odeon in Streatham at 1 or 2 in the morning.
