KNIGELK I use BETFAIR which has a cash in facility for horses as well. However I have only been able to cash a bet in during a horse race a couple of times as one needs 2 clicks one to cash in and one to confirm by which time the price has moved on and it will not have been successful. Once I was lucky got the cash and the horse lost the other time the horse won and I lost out on the extra i would have won if I had kept my nerve.Football is different as its not very often that odds change so quickly during a game. With horses best to cash in before the off to guarantee getting the cash. I may experiment doing a double together with a £1 win 4 horse trebles cost £4 combining the double with 1 later race nag at longer odds of say between 10/1 and 20/1 who has a chance and a later fourth no hoper of 100/1 or over. If the two 'certs' win the later bets at big odds enhance the cash in pay out as with 20 york's 4 yesterday.THE LUCKY 15 with 2 losers a winner at 8/1 and the last horse at 20/1 I ended up in profit £9.93 by cashing in and using some of the cash to place a separate bet on the 20/1 to ensure some profit in case it lost. If I HAD STAYED WITH THE BET I calculate I would have broken even as it only got a place. Same scenario with Harry's Ascots excluding Flying Officer, which I missed. I would have been quids down if I had stuck with the bets as the last 2 lost. looking at my scribbles the doubles were paying £55 for winnings of £120 for the next 2 and the trebles £66 for winnings of £209 if the last 2 won just prior to the Jack Hobbs race not sure where I got £139 from in my earlier post.GLA

overall up on the day, just, but only because I cashed in my multiples before the end. Cashed in 20 york's for £19.93 with only 1 winner in the bag at 8/1 and then placed £5ew on Llewellyn so made £9.93 overall. £40 staked in total. however If I had stuck to my standard single £10 win only on 20 york's tips again only £40 to wager but would have had £90 less £30 = £60. Similarly using Harry's Ascots at £10 win only £60 would have produced £127.50 less £30 losing bets = £97.50. I cashed in the doubles and trebles for £89 and with Buckstay losing would have been better off doing the singles. Admittedly the £89 would have been more if I had included Flying officer but then the cost of the doubles and trebles would have been more than the £40 staked for the multiples. I could have taken £139 cash in before the Jack Hobbs race thus banking a profit of £99 so doing multiples does increase the profits if the early ones are winners. Harry Knigelk do you ever cash in your winning multiples before they are fully completed?

20YORK MUTARDIS another great call. It can't just bE luck? Harry chickened out and took £89 cash in and used £10 win on Buckstay instead. Could have taken £123 cash in before Jack Hobbs but was sure he would win. Bird in the hand scenario versus greed.

Giving it all a rest today. Feel real sick missing York 20's 33/1 down 40 on the day and to top it all lost £4.5k on forex. First loser out of 3 BUT OTHER 2 were good winners so still up overall. mindbender ended up at £5 odd during the race but as expected lost but just before the off it was £3.01. Food for thought.

Appropo cashing in bets my 1ew cash in on SDS's ride Mindbender at 20/1 is showing a cash in value of 2.90. That's a massive 45% profit. I stopped monitoring this but will do so again. Beats day trading. 1K BET would be worth 450 and forget about the race.
