Good evening folks. Concentrating again on long odds winners. Have a look at TEaves . In the last month he has had only 4 long odds winners at 33/1,50/1, 20/1, and 20/1 thats £1,230 to a £10 win stake. Only backing his rides at 20/1 or over produced 70 losers making £700 loss net profit £520 or 52 points profit where the win ratio is a paltry 5.4%. This convinces me that backing long odds horses is more profitable than backing form horses despite the very low numbers of winning bets. If one factors in my recovery of losing bets into the stakes which would not be that much extra at these long odds that would mean no losses and a profit of £1230 or 123 points. Compare that with the records of the professional tipsters who charge for their service and invariably tip short priced nags with the occassional 6/1 or 8/1. Better to try the stock market. At least one would not lose all the stake wagered if one got it wrong. I believe Harry has already repeated the accepted idiom only wager what you can afford to lose. Good evening Harry. Been busy on a tax fraud case. Client for over 30 years, also called Harry, got singled out by HMRC after appearing on Come dine with me.Just come out of 2hr meeting to close the case after 2 years of discloure and negotiations but the hard nosed bxxxh is being stubborn even though client has already coughed up over £500k in tax interest and penalties. Seems I've been missing some goods tips and another 16/1. Still my timing of betting rest was good as far as SDS. Longest losing run over 30 rides I think. Pity about WRN but my source is still adamant that is will be a winner. I posted there would be news before the 18th after a long period of silence and the next day the Rangers FC thing was published so the quality is good. GLA.

Good morning Harry. I see you have been burning the midnight oil again. Interesting statistics re Goldie. In the last month only had 8 winners. However 3 of them were very good odds, 11/1, 16/1 and 14/1. No winners at odds of 20/1 or more.There were 14 runners at odds of 11/1 to 19/1 so that's a strike rate of 21.43% The other 5 winners were at odds between 2/1 and 8/1.There were 23 runners between those odds so that's a strike rate of 21.74%. On a level stake of £10 win the above produced a net profit of £300 for the long priced nags and £100 for the shorter priced nags. No winners at odds of 9 or 10/1 of which there were 9. Also, although Goldie and Lynch make a good partnership Goldie and Rachael Grant is even better. That combination had 10 runners last month of which 3 were winners 8/1, 11/1 and 16/1. That's an overall strike rate of 33.33%. Of the other 7 runners 3 were at odds of 20/1 or more leaving 4 @ odds of 2 to 8/1.The Goldie G Bartley partnership produced no winners from 11 rides. Using the above yesterday would have produced a net profit of £125 to £10 win stakes on 4 bets 2 winners and 2 losers.Past performance is no guarantee for future performance but I know where my bets will be concentrated on for the next month. Good evening Allan1942. I used a system devised to select longer priced winners for R FAHEY which is proving quite successful for me and applied it to all her 11 runners. Basically it concentrates on horses with odds between 12/1 and 25/1. There were 4 runners that qualified. DARK crystall in the 15.30 2nd @16/1, 2 in the 16.00 a 12/1 and the winner 16/1and one in the 17.05 25/1. I only do £10 win so £40 wagered and £170 return net profit £130. I said in an earlier post that I was looking at a system for longer priced horses and will publish the results shortly. GLA

Thanks Harry for Borak. Missed Cathy's 25/1 winner on Sunday but she did go over 30 rides without a winner. Took a punt on Borak as you tipped it and recovered all my past losses as well so am well in profit on her now. May have to reassess her and perhaps only back her when you tip her. I had a 10/1 at Lingfield or Brighton on your say so when it was her only nightime ride.I also recall you once said Bath is a good course for her. I think she had 2 good priced payable places as well today. Thanks again.

emblaze1 here is another link to consider. when I have the time I will back test my £10 a win full recovery of losing bets against their results as they seem to get at least 25 to 30 winners a month same as on the nose. will also be looking at Harry's performance which off the back of my head may be better as his winners tend to have better odds whereas theirs tend to be shorter.
