ROYJOHN.djohnsa, Lefkosia's system is to back each favorite at each meeting that is evens or above, when there is a profit of one point or more at a meeting then you finish betting at that meeting. It will all end in tears. lol
Excellent explanation BUT
Slight correction and tweeking of the system. Sometimes I will accept an odds on bet eg 4/5 5/6 as long as it pays .4 of a point or more in profit. In my original posting I believe I said I tend to ignore long odds on favs eg 1/9 but 4/6 is doable.
Yes Royjohn, you may very well be right it may end in tears but so long as one bets responsibly it won't. So far I am still ahead. Time will tell.
Please see my previous post to Harry about being flexible and the bird in the Strand approach which I may incorporate in future into the strategy. Also, after yesterday’s severely depleted fields with loads of non runners I will be looking at minimum runners per race. Bearing in mind your recent posting ‘Since this thread started Harry has shown a profit of over 21pts from 77 bets, approximately 27% on level stakes. I would have been happy with 10% when I was betting. Keep it up. :-)’ at 4.04 points profit yesterday afternoon perhaps that would have been another reason to quit while ahead and should be incorporated into the strategy? Harry’s record 21/77 = 27.27%. You would have been happy with 10 % .Yesterday at 4.04 points profit the statistic was 7/14 = 50%. What do you think? On my day trading the Stock exchange one of the targets for closing a trade is only 5 % profit.
On the subject of multiples I tend to avoid them as in the long run they tend to be losers and go for straight singles or occasionally the odd double. Take for instance the other day. Harry highlighted 2 winners 6/1 and 7/1 Birdman and Double up but only Birdman featured as a selection. I believe Acker had them in a double, very nice 55 points profit but in order to guarantee coupling the two one would need to have coupled all the horses highlighted 10 in all. That’s 45 doubles so a profit of 10 points BUT 44 losing doubles and how often does one get those long odds? Even if they were 4/1 and 4/1 which ain’t bad that’s a return of 24 points which would mean a losing overall bet of 20 points. Have used win only for illustration purposes.

Thank you Harry
HOWEVER, Harry came so very, very, very close to a fantastic win yankee at fantastic odds on his four main selections. IF the main selections had all won the win accumulator alone would have paid over £3K to a £1 stake!
one more word 16/1 2nd
birdman 7/1 1st
11/2 mount kiara 2nd
WILLIAM OF ORANGE 11/4 2nd
A win yankee paid nothing but ew yankee on the four would have paid very handsomely and if the win had come off well that is the other side of the coin but in the long run I would hazard a guess that the bookies do rub their hands at multiples.
