I could say that Budge saw this coming so went for broke last year with the placing, achieving £6 million, knowing this would be UNESCO’s reply.
They were always going to grasp the invitation to comment with both hands, weren’t they. Without the invitation by Baylan, they would have no right to be involved in any enterprise so far outside their geographical jurisdiction. It has been a gift for UNESCO.....and Baylan.

The UNESCO report suggests to me that the 6 months it has taken to put this together have been spent assessing the fragmented nature of Swedish politics and the fact that the Green Party, with 4% of the vote, can manipulate the whole political machine into doing absolutely nothing about Kallak.
UNESCO have taken the opportunity to flex it’s bureaucratic muscle and align 100% with the Swedish greens and the Sami, which suits UNESCO’s global agenda supremely well.
That their report will undoubtedly further stymie any possibility of a mine, despite it being 25 miles beyond the Laponia boundary represents a significant PR coup.

For the past 8 years, the absence of a decision has been the political choice of Swedish ministers, entirely on their shoulders.
Now they have a reason legitimised by UNESCO to continue to do nothing. And they now have a very powerful global bureaucracy to support that stance. The KU report is null and void.

As long as politics are at play, the law will be kept at a safe distance by Baylan.
Budge should have had a plan for all possible UNESCO responses. And I mean an action plan with considerable heft, not another wish washy letter / email.
Unless an RNS arrives this week demonstrating a huge progression in Budge’s demands for a decision and a clear statement that the law will be brought to bear on this sh*tshow, then he may as well pack his bags.

RNS states the company continues to engage with politicians in Sweden.
I just don't find that credible. Sending letters and emails periodically which are ignored is not meaningful communication in my book.

You wouldn't want to read the long form answer, so here is the short form:
The justifications for investing in a junior miner in Sweden are huge and compelling, particularly in Kallak - world class however you look at it.
Sadly, the perfect ****tail of swedish politics and a largely supine CEO have stymied the clear economic benefits on offer here.
I see no prospect of this changing unless swedish politics ( too fragmented, dysfunctional and paralysed by fear of confluct ) itself changes.

CEOs in 2021 with all the social media and press exposure as a given, must have the verbal and presentational skills to knock out first rate presentations on demand. Budge is poor. He should seek professional guidance. That is my opinion.

I am allowed to be critical. I don't happen to slavishly idolise the man as you do.

I can't watch Budge on camera any longer. His presentation style is so lacking in assurance and stuttering, I feel genuunely anxious watching him.

The repeated calls forfunding have been successful entirely due to what is in the ground at Kallak. Funding which has been poured into Kosovo and Finland.
Without Kallak, or some prospect of a mine there, there can be no successful fundraising and thus no company. The swedes are playing on this with delays but can't say no to a license as the ensuing kegal challenge would expose the 8 year charade.

Too many self appointed censors. Part of social media obsessed society.
Censorship stifles debate, which is essential to obtain a rounded view of issues, which in BEM's case are many.

He is not managing at all. He is happy to spectate and fire off the occasional email. You say he has delivered. He only has to deliver one thing - the concession, and he has not delivered it, has he.

I have to take issue with your last post. “ Kurt can only deliver the best potential mine project there could be and I think he’s done that”
1. The SGU identified the Kallak deposit before WW2. Nothing to do with Budge.
2. The exploitation application was submitted in April 2013. Nothing to do with Budge.
3. Almost 6 years in post and he has not progressed the application in any tangible way.
4. There are 4 times the number of shares in issue compared to when he took up his post.
He has delivered nothing other than dilution and amateurish presentations when he’s needed funds.
His performance has to be measured against expectation, and he has failed for far too long, with minimal prospect of any change to the current situation.
