The facts are that Budge’s most recent request by email for a meeting with Baylan elicited responses including “well done Kurt”, “very well written” and “strongly worded”
So what, is my response to such approval, when, as I stated at the time, there would be no meeting and, as ever, no change.
Now those are the facts.

His interviews are dreadful.
Stuttering and amateurish. He appears ill prepared and apologetic. And he has colonel Gaddafi eyes. He seriously needs to either stop doing interviews, or get professional media training.

Budge will be working up the enthusiasm to type yet another email, which will be lauded by the usual suspects as a master stroke.
I’m amazed he even gets a reply. It’s all so half hearted and ineffective, and yet he keeps doing it.
He can’t realistically expect wish washy emails to have any effect. If he does, then he’s as docile as Baylan / Damberg.

The imaginary “events” of recent days and the continuing belief that something real is happening / changing is dispiriting.
Where are people’s critical faculties?
It is never any more than rumour here.
As far as Baylan is concerned, his disappearance from BEM’s orbit is the only real and happy news here.
He couldn’t find his own *rse with both hands.
The situation here is set in stone and can only be shattered by politicians seeing a way to further their careers by making a decision on Kallak.
I am very doubtful that even next year’s election will see that happen.

Why the outrage?
This is perfectly normal and completely predictable.

If I remember correctly, the Aitolampi scoping study and the Kallak mining study were promised during Budge’s PR offensive at the back end of last year when he needed more cash.
Having secured his £6m, the activity has not matched the promise, yet again.
Maybe Budge is swedish??

It is my hope and belief that, as green policies are being adopted by mainstream parties across the world, the need for a dedicated “ green “ party will evaporate in the same way that, once the Brexit vote had been secured, UKIP disappeared.
The direction and speed of travel towards this will be clearer after the climate conference in October in Glasgow.

In my opinion, there will be no response from Baylan to the latest letter.
Here’s why:
1. He never responded to letters or emails when he had a career to protect / promote.
2. As he is only weeks away from his political “ retirement “ he will be even less likely to cause conflict for or with anyone. He is home free.
3. At just 49 years of age, and with a ministerial position on his CV, he’ll be looking for a few easy directorships in the near future, so will not choose to alienate anyone who can provide him with a nice little earner.
4. Nor will he wish to alienate any politicians as his new commercial paymasters will need him to have access to the corridors of power.
5.He is an intellectual Pygmy.
6. He has zero courage and his first and only instincts are to hide and prevaricate.
Good luck with the next minister, but until the next election it won’t make a jot of difference who is appointed.

To be appointed to the office of minister of state in Sweden or any country is an honour and a privilege.
The responsibility of the office is to run the country. The only running Baylan has done is to run away from his brief - enterprise and innovation ha fecking ha - and now he’s run away altogether.

You are not obliged to get it at all.
However, Beowulf is, like several other companies, on my radar as a future possible punt. As such, in my view, it would be foolish not to research the opportunity fully prior to investing? Reading RNS is a basic minimum.

Suzy2, I read the RNS very carefully and it was a reprise / rehash of many RNS statements from the last 5 years.
Baylan is off the hook re any forthcoming considerations. He is in end of term mode.

He has nothing new to say. Last week’s RNS confirmed that. His repeated strategy is to wait and trust the process. 7 years in post next month and content to sit and take a very good living for minimum effort.

What difference would that make?
