sarup63,
The uncrossed trade at 12.30p after the session closed upset the LSE IT platform.
Trust me, the correct closing SP yesterday was 11.22p midway between bud and ask prices.
If you have trouble understanding it, see what the SP opens at on Monday. It will not be 12.30p.
ATB
Good morning 3cardbrag,
After 4 fitful night’s sleep following the misfortunes of the England cricket team, your comment is gratefully received.
I was merely commenting on what has become a feature of the modern digital age.
Posting on a public board as though speaking privately is widespread, and I wish I were sufficiently well educated to explain it. It is probably what psychologists would label as a syndrome?
Regarding the accident prone Swedish mp, whose enthusiasm to attend the meeting with Thor led to a nasty tumble, maybe he fell foul of the perennial problem afflicting Northern Rail and Transpennine Express. Namely “ the wrong kind of snow “
Enjoy your weekend.
Your incessant ramping on the back of who knows what is annoying, but when your facts are wrong, you must be corrected.
BEM closed yesterday at 11.22p. Up 0.48p ( +4.42% )
The 12.30 quoted on LSE is an error ( they are common )
A cursory glance at the bid and ask would tell you as much.
I’ll give Thor until next Friday 17th to demonstrate clear follow up to his initial pro mining comments this week.
It appears that today he has fallen at the first fence by not turning up. He could issue a statement but he hasn’t.
I don’t want to file him under Damberg / Baylan just yet, but he is a Swedish politician at the end of the day.
Between now and the election may be the only chance to see a decision for several years.
Do not bottle it Thor.
Thor has provided no more than an opportunity for a decision to be made with his pro mining comments.
Whatever is or isn’t happening today in Parliament, in my view, inorder to continue the narrative he has begun, he must issue a statement detailing where he is with the decision, and when it will be concluded.
No more conjecture and misplaced hope. Enough is enough.
It is in his hands.
If you can detect a “ change of tune “ from me, it may be that I have been infected by the wishful thinking of other posters hahaha!
But seriously, the removal of the greens at the same time as Thor’s apparently refreshing pro-mining views being aired so soon after his appointment represents ( and I’ll choose my words very carefully ) no more than an opportunity for the decision on Kallak to finally be made.
Instinctively, I do not trust any politicians solely on the strength of what they say, without commensurate action.
I live in West Yorkshire, which will no longer see HS2 finding it’s way to Leeds, despite Bojo “pledging “ as much in full public view on several occasions.
Action now, not merely words, and timetabled too.
No more “forthcoming” and “prioritised” nonsense.
The Sami have had the luxury of posing as eco warriors these past years, knowing that the greens in parliament would allow them that luxury.
With a meaningful and clear statement from Thor tomorrow, the Sami must change tack to acknowledging that progress is inevitable and participate in co-operating in a way for a mine and herding to live alongside one another.
Without greens in the coalition, the Sami have insufficient clout to hold back the tide.
It is entirely down to what Thor says tomorrow in parliament. His words will either be the first step towards establishing a mine at Kallak or ploughing the same ignominious furrow as his predecessors.
Bring your hammer to work day tomorrow then, Thor!!!
How many ways are there to say “ we oppose a mine at Kallak “
The Sami can have nothing to add to their previously submitted statements which say anything new or different.
They have resolutely refused overtures from BEM to discuss co-existing with a mine over almost a decade. They will now be sprinting to any meeting with BEM if money is being offered to subsidise their ailing reindeer businesses.
If Thir is serious in backing up his encouraging words, on Friday he must set the scene in full view of the Sami that a decision will be made, and soon, and that more than enough information exists from previous submissions on which to base a watertight, legally safe decision, beyond which all that needs to be discussed is how the co-existence is to be managed.
There must be no more hiding from the ministerial responsibilities flouted by Damberg and Baylan.
Unless there is a leak by Friday that the Sami have conceded defeat in this matter ( improbable in the extreme ), then it is just another talking shop. No harm in listening to more pro- mining chat from Thor, but I would prefer to wait for something more tangible before getting excited myself.
The Sami’s comments may not even arrive by the 16th deadline. They have plenty of previous, do they not?
A pump & dump is exactly what it is. It is what it always is.
Engineered by Aktie manipulation at the hint of imaginary progress from a Swedish mp. And they have proved so reliable in their pronouncements, haven’t they?
Friday is your next imaginary hoorah.
Gambier14,
indeed.
Here is the most ignorant of all the posts today:
what a lovely sight BEM at the top of the leader board now all we need is the MMs to stay away from it ,good luck,
Without MMs there is no market ffs. Wishy washy clap trap.
Gambler14,
Your posts are a welcome departure from the absolute nonsense posted by most on here getting giddy for no other reason than wishful thinking.
The level of ignorance and naivety is staggering.
It is no wonder that scammers prosper in this country. Stupid people blinded by greed and hope and not much else.
Please stick around. Although I doubt many will even be bothered to learn from reality.
3card,
I need no converting to the world class fundamentals of this opportunity.
It is the Swedish bureaucrats who need converting to the understanding that the responsibilities of their office demand they act ( not just splutter sound bites before returning to their slumbering ) in the interests of the electorate at large and stop pandering to the bleating of minorities.
Mobile365,
You are correct. At 17p the Aktie owners prompted a flash crash ( having made a tidy profit ) and no enquiry was requested and no explanation given.
This is why, in my opinion, the past two days should be viewed with a healthy skepticism. Without the concession, it is all wishful thinking.
Suzy2,
Why is the new minister asking for a statement from the Sami at all?
He has more than enough information from all parties already to make a decision, doesn’t he?
Could it be he needs a get out of jail free card to play?
The Sami have until 16th to make a final statement.
When the new minister has received it, I suspect he will go into a different mode to the last two days. More along the lines of “ the issues at play here are very complex and a decision is will be fortcoming “ ie meaningless.
I’ll stick with my belief that nothing will happen until after the next election, by which time the greens might be back in the mix.
Just my opinion.
