You achieve herd immunity at 70% of the population vaccinated. The UK has a population of 67 Million and we have ordered approximately 147 doses of the vaccine from only those with declared efficacy. That is enough to vaccinate the UK population about twice over. Pfizer are supplying 40 million of doses which equals 20 million vaccinated with the 2 doses required and and that would account for nearly all of the intended Phase 1 recipients.

Professor Johnathan Van Tam only last week went further on this and was unequivacably clear that if we vaccinate the circa 22 to 24 million million that are lined up for vaccination in only Phase 1 of the rollout then we will achieve 99% immunity. Thats because it is targetted at the highest risk categories. Its all out there to check up on.
