Just back up now so here's the amendment. $550M to $600M dollars for June as a guesstimate and it would not surprise if it exceeds that. rest of the post remains the same.

Not often I agree with Itrader but he hit the nail on the head last night when he said that the bulletin board makes him sick with rampers now deramping. Its a view I second and up pops another multi ID just to reinforce that view.

Time to sit back on the research and posting, with the odd appearance from time to time and to let the traders try to guess their step off and step back on points whilst things are on the recovery path and £, $ and € roll in. It's an approach that has worked very well elsewhere on recovery plays and particularly so on HMSO and others in recent weeks.

This is Global Box Office growing that MoneyP1t is highlighting and which I have added to. It is not solely a Uk focus.

Cineworld derives 85% of its revenues outside the UK and even in the UK will make incredibly good money off what films are coming if we trade exactly as we are now.

You quote cases rising in the UK but you miss the most important part which is that Hospitalisations at the same time are trending back down at 123 tonight and deaths tonight - sit at only 6. That's despite all Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 reopenings, all variants to date and the Delta variant. 89.19% of cohorts 1-9 also now 2nd vaccinated as of yesterday.

Hard to justify people missing life-saving cancer treatments and surgery and also further limitations on businesses that you yourself reference, based on that. Therapeutics out there and booster jabs coming as well.

If he adds a couple of weeks more I could see the logic but also if he decided to go with it and sanctioned Stage 4 on Monday then I could also see the logic in that. With Boris Johnson you should know never to rule anything out.

MoneyP1t, I'll be surprised if the month of June doesn't get close to £550 - £600 Million and maybe surprise beyond that.

Why?

* Because over the last few weeks there have been a whole host of new territories come onstream again with cinemas reopening. I have on here charted the Cineworld RoW reopenings in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Israel, Slovakia and tomorrow the Czech Republic goes online again as well for ourselves with 18 multiplexes. Ireland is also just going live again.

*Because you have a plethora of films out there at the moment that are still in the earlier half of their theatrical windows. Just look at whats on.

* They are being joined by others that are just being released. Bon Jovi (Limited Release), The Father, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, Nobody, In the Heights.

* Peter Rabbit 2 releases in the US this weekend on 11th June after a good first- 2 week run in the UK. (Again think children, matinees, siblings and parents in tow)

*Because F9 will only be into week 2 as above.

It is also getting a beach screening at the Cannes Film Festival which will certainly do it no harm re French Box Office.

The next set of results with come with a current trading update or an outlook statement attached and if the date is in August it will have F9 and Black Widow numbers.

Can somebody politely tell our resident bear with a sore head that if they are filtered they come up as green. That way I don't see their posts, nor do I reply.

People can read what is there and make their own minds up. Any links are there to add substance to what is said. Anybody wishing to the contrary can argue in a similar vein by posting links that show otherwise. If we're open we will have taken our cut of the spoils.

It obviously takes more than 1 swallow to make a summer but the signs are imho more than encouraging.

You have a random poster who posts and says he went to the cinema the other night and unsurprisingly as they are not holding, it wasn't busy. Didn't at the time even post it was a Cineworld cinema. Could have been the Odeon Ben Nevis for all you know. Then you not only reply top them but carry forward their thread.

These posts served their purpose on reopening only to let people know Cinema was back and the public were embracing it. No purpose now unless backed by hard facts: An RNS like Mookys recent release on Peter Rabbit 2 and merchandise sales, a newspaper article, photos, youtube footage or a clip or other media showing hard evidence.

RoW as of Thursday will have opened 114 multiplex cinemas after 8 months to 14 months of film drought. America we have 505 Regal cinemas reopened at last count and the Box office has been exceptional. UK won't be far off all its cinemas reopened when Dublin and our Irish Cineworld's reopen on the 18th June.

Multiplex cinemas are just that, multiple cinemas and multiple showings. The early ones less busy than the others unless say its Peter Rabbit or Disney where "matinees" make equally good money at the weekend and half term.

Last year when cinemas reopened we opened to Tenet, then Unhinged and then it was Bill and Ted. Then not much else. Compare and contrast that with now. There is virtually one or two new films every week and they all have theatre windows to get through. Box Office opening surge at the start then reduce over the following weeks as they work through the theatre window. This time round there is a new release to whet your appetite every week and just like a revolving door. We've just had AQP2 released at the same time as Cruella and The Conjuring. PR2 only in its 2nd week. Next up at the weekend and into next week its The Father and The Hitmans Wifes Bodyguard. Then its In the Heights followed quickly by F9 then Black Widow.

The studios are literally tripping over themselves to get their releases out and through cinemas and to build and restore confidence and custom into the cionemas and to enghance their balance sheets.

All super good for Cineworld and cinema goers and great value if you are an Unlimited holder. Our Multiplexes are full of great content that is only going to get even better over the next few weeks and just as one reaches the end of its theatre window along comes another.

There is a wealth of information out there. Maybe spend less time on the bulletin board and believe in the companies prospects you have invested in instead of doubting your investment each time an uninformed anon or one of them trolls comes along.

Just to advise you that as of the 10th June our 13 Czech Republic multiplexes will be reopening.

That will make it a "full house" with regard to the reopening of all our RoW cinemas with 114 in total reopened.
